BG Home Inspections

Its website describes BG Home Inspections as a one-inspector Massachusetts firm offering home, commercial, pre-listing and annual inspections across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, backed by a 90-day money-back guarantee. The company says it started in 2021, after its inspector had spent about a decade as a home inspector, five of those years as lead trainer at one of Massachusetts' largest multi-inspector firms. On Google it holds 5 stars from 117 ratings. A recent Realtor who worked with Brett on a home inspection in Bellingham said he clearly distinguished between what was truly detrimental and what could reasonably wait, and that his written report was detailed and well-organized. A recent customer buying a first home said Brett made sure they understood what they were looking at and got them a very detailed report quickly. A recent customer said that when Brett found even a minor problem, he gave advice on how to fix it or which professionals would be best suited to fix it. A recent customer said this was their second time hiring Brett in 6 years. A 2025 customer said the inspection ran from 9 AM to just before noon and the full report, with notes and photos, was in their inbox by 3 PM that afternoon. The same 2025 customer said Brett identified water damage and intrusion, and that their agent negotiated a significant credit from the sellers. A 2025 customer said Brett spent three hours inspecting every part of a condo's interior, as well as the roof, boilers, parking garage and storage bin. A 2023 customer said he crawled into every space he could to look for issues and came out covered in cobwebs.
