Verified record
Sullectric Co is a Milton, MA electrical contractor that has been in business 40 years, offering electrical maintenance, custom wiring, 24-hour emergency service, and free estimates. Its written record is mixed. In a 2022 review, a customer said a 14-year overdue smoke alarm swap was handled efficiently and cleanly, with a strong recommendation. The two most recent reviews tell a different story: in a 2024 review, a customer said Sullectric installed a faulty circuit breaker and then charged for the troubleshooting visit needed to diagnose the problem it caused, after already paying $3,000 for a new panel; in an October 2025 review, another customer cited poor communication and called the pricing too high. Google shows a 2.6-star average across five ratings. Its Better Business Bureau profile lists an A+ letter grade, though the company is not BBB Accredited — a notably different picture from the recent customer reviews. Given the gap between the older praise and the newer complaints about pricing and workmanship, it's worth getting a clear written estimate and confirming exactly what a job covers before signing off on any panel or wiring work.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Sullectric Co. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
Not recommended. Bad communication skills and then prices are too high. Avoid at all costs.
Peter Cahill, same thing happened to me! Installed a faulty circuit breaker and charged a one hour trouble shooting visit to diagnose a problem he created!! This was after I paid him $3000 for a new panel.
We needed our smoke alarms replaced as they have been up for no mover 14 years, and Sulelectric did the work. They were efficient and clean, we would highly recommend them.
