Barry O'Connor is a Milton electrician with about 30 years in the trade and roughly 12 years running his own business, according to his Angi profile, and reviews describe him as many customers' go-to for everything from routine repairs to full panel upgrades. Across 19 reviews from 2021 through 2025 (Google 4.8★ from 21 ratings, Angi 4.8★ from 3), the record is uniformly positive and often long-running. In a 2024 review, a customer described 6 years with Barry as their electrician after a referral from their real estate agent — he diagnosed faulty smoke-detector wiring that was holding up their home sale, then handled lighting and panel work at their new house. Another 2024 review listed a 200-amp service upgrade, outlet and switch replacement, and an outdoor pole lantern install, all handled exclusively by Barry, while a third described new circuits run to a second floor and an automatic transfer switch installed for backup power. A recurring theme is older housing stock — reviewers mention 1890s and 1907 homes, and his Angi profile specifically calls out experience removing knob-and-tube wiring. More than one review singles out his pricing as straightforward: what he estimates is what he charges, with no hidden fees. The reviews consistently describe a reliable, detail-oriented electrician who's comfortable with both older rewiring and modern upgrades.

Berry and team are awesome. we had him update our kitchen and he was an exelent communicator, he did exactly what we wanted and did a great job. Highly recommend.
He’s great
Barry was able to come quite quickly to help determine where we had developed a short in one of the electrical circuits in our house. He was quite pleasant, obviously quite knowledgeable and skilled and found the short in a part of the house's wiring that I didn't even know was potentially a part of the problem. He worked quickly and efficiently to rectify the situation and I am certain we will use him for other projects that we have waiting!
Barry did several smaller jobs that I had amassed - he was responsive and professional. Will work with him again as needed. I would highly recommend.
Barry was excellent. Arrived on time, was friendly and had the job done very quickly. Would absolutely use him again in the future.
