Sullivan Paving says it has been in business for 55 years, and its Google page shows 4.8 stars from 246 ratings. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+, and the BBB lists it as accredited. Driveways are the work people hire it for. One recent customer describes a day to rip and grade and the next day to pave; when they put a tire rut in the neighbor's lawn, a truck showed up with topsoil, filled the rut and hand raked it to grade. A customer with a steep driveway that required significant drainage says they matched the asphalt to cobblestone, steel edging and retaining walls. One customer has used them three times, once for paving and twice for oil/stone chip sealing, on a very long driveway with several out-buildings and their own aprons. On a sealcoating and crack-filling job, one customer says they got most of the spider cracks but missed a couple of deeper ones that need touch-up. When a fresh job got rained on, one customer says they redid the entire driveway. A recent 4-star reviewer was caught off guard when the work was completed in one visit after being told it would come in two stages. A recent 4-star customer calls Sullivan not the least expensive option for driveway maintenance. A 2024 customer said they repaved a private road in Madison, CT with an oil and stone application after nearly 20 years of neglect. A 2025 customer said the estimator was personable and the office staff kept them informed. A 2024 customer said they took out a historical granite hitching post with their machine, cracked the sidewalk and left divots in the asphalt, and said the owner had not come to the site after 4 1/2 weeks. A 2023 customer said a crack that was supposed to be cut out reopened about a year later, and a call back was met with "we don’t guarantee that - it’s in the contract". A 2025 customer said the seal coating was done carefully but a portion of the drive at the entrance was untouched. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0542208, as active, held by Sullivan Paving Co Inc.

The crew explained what they would be doing to correct the washout on our driveway. The crew was very efficient and completed the work as scheduled. We were very satisfied with the result and final condition of the driveway.
We've used Sullivan Paving three times now - paving the original time and two times oil/stone (chip) sealing. Each time the jobs were done very well. All products were of high quality and no skimping on material or the time to apply correctly. We have a very long driveway and several out-buildings with their own aprons so it's much more than a standard driveway, and they've done a great job every time. Highly recommend.
Super impressed with these guys. Very professional job in all aspects. Preparation of the driveway, crack filling, sealcoating. Took their time, did it right. I recommend them for sealcoating. We had lots of spider cracks, and they got most all of them. I need to do a little touch up of a couple deeper cracks they missed but overall outstanding job.
Was happy scope of work was completed in one visit, I wad caught off guard as I was told work would be completed in two stages, cracks now and driveway sealing in Spring time which I thought was a bit odd. This was my 30th year in a row for sealing and P.M.
These guys (and gals) are pros. Great communication, flexible on the timing. 1 day to rip and grade and the next to pave. The grader said to me “when I’m at your house, I treat it like my house.” He did. They put a tire rut in my neighbors lawn and before I could say anything a truck showed up with top soil, filled the rut and was hand raked to grade. Supporting a local and long standing company was a great experience.
