Sunup Solar is a New Hampshire solar panel installer based in Auburn, run day-to-day by Hunter Judd, citing about five years in business as of 2026. Its track record on Google (4.9 stars from 48 ratings) is unusually deep for a small regional installer: dozens of named, detailed reviews since 2022 describe everything from standard rooftop arrays to a 30-panel residential system, a 20-panel install at a ski house in Campton, a 15-panel array at an NH cabin, ground-mount systems, and several fully off-grid setups — including one homeowner in far-northern NH near the Canadian border who had struggled to find any installer willing to serve the area. Reviewers consistently credit the same handful of named staff — Hunter Judd, sales rep Cory Pelissier, Zach/Zachary, and electrician Brendan — for clear communication, on-time or ahead-of-schedule installs, and handling permits and utility coordination (including with Eversource) directly. The company is BBB A+ accredited (accredited since 2022) with no complaints on file there. The record is not perfect. A February 2026 one-star Google review alleges the company promised a rebate and solar tax credit that never materialized, and describes lawn damage and debris left behind after installation with no offer to fix it. That claim is worth taking seriously, but it stands against a large body of other reviews — including one from the same month — describing customers who did successfully receive the promised tax credit or rebate, so this reads as an isolated, unresolved dispute rather than a company-wide pattern. The company also lists roofing (new roof installation, replacements, repairs) and heat pump installation among its services on its BBB profile, alongside its core solar work, though no customer review specifically confirms a roofing or HVAC job — those services are self-reported/directory-listed only so far. Overall, this is a well-reviewed, established NH solar installer with an unusually large and consistent body of detailed customer accounts; the one serious complaint about a broken rebate promise is worth asking about directly before booking.
Cory and the folks at Sunup did an excellent job with their 30-panel solar installation at my home. They were competitively priced, excellent at communication, and the install went smoothly and on schedule. Beyond that, when there was a miscommunication about something not in the written contract, Cory nevertheless went out of his way to resolve the issue. I'd gladly work with them again.
My experience with SunUp Solar was excellent! Cory Pelissier clearly explained the layout of my panels, gave me an installation schedule that SunUp followed, and SunUp finished my project in time for me to qualify for the energy tax credit that ended at the end of 2025. The installation was very professionally done; I had to be away from my home during installation and had no problem trusting the SunUp team with access to my house. I'm a satisfied customer and recommend SunUp Solar without any hesitation.
Hunter and Kris are complete liars! Beware of the scam! There is no rebate and solar credit even though it was promised. They installed the panels and destroyed my lawn in the process and left trash everywhere. Never even offered to fix my lawn. Every single thing they told me was a lie.
The folks at Sunup Solar are very professional, straight-forward, honest, dependable, communicative, and friendly. The staff was very easy to work with. Their cost was comparable with other solar companies. We had panels installed on multiple roofs on the property. The installation process went well and was professionally accomplished. I recommend this company to all my friends and anyone else who asks.
From the first meeting with Hunter Judd and the follow-on communications with Cassy Miller, to the final installation with the electrician Brendan and the crew, the process was smooth and on-time or ahead of schedule. They took care of all of the required permits and notification to the electric company for the necessary changes. The installers did an excellent job, completing the work in about half the time I had thought it would take. They cleaned up after themselves completely. I believe that the components used for the project are the best available. The first 3 days after the system was turned on, the weather was rainy and overcast and I expected no production. But to my great surprise the system produced about 30%-50% of the power consumed each day. This is an excellent company with great people. I would like to single out Cassy Miller in particular: she is an excellent communicator and the perfect front person for Sunup; all of my questions and communication were responded to within minutes, with clear and accurate replies. Oh, and Rufus (woof, woof) liked them too! :}
