Superior Energy Solutions, Inc. is a Swansea weatherization and HVAC contractor working across Massachusetts and Rhode Island as an authorized Mass Save partner. It is an S corporation started in February 2016 with about 20 staff, and Andre Soares is listed as its president and co-owner. Most of its work arrives through utility programs — customers repeatedly describe being assigned to the company by Mass Save or RISE rather than choosing it themselves. The volume is easy to verify. Public building-permit records list 443 permitted projects, 94 of them in the last three years, spread across Plymouth, Hanson, Medway, Attleboro, Acushnet, Dighton and Holbrook — mostly insulation and air sealing, ductless mini-splits, ventilation fans and water heaters, at a typical permit value around $4,247. That record puts them in the top 4% of Massachusetts contractors on BuildZoom's scoring. What customers praise is remarkably consistent, and it is about the crews. The same names recur — Steve as foreman, Luke, Mike and JJ on the tools, Danielle running scheduling and updates from the office. Reviewers in 2026 describe crews arriving early, laying drop cloths unasked, working through the day without a lunch break, taping seams and foaming gaps until a front-door draft was gone, and vacuuming up afterwards. One 2025 customer had Superior back for a third job that summer — attic mould remediation, then air sealing and insulating that attic, then replacing rotted trim boards. Another 2025 reviewer with a 1,100 sq ft 1940s house described two full days, a crawl-space crew on day one and a second crew the next, with siding removed and access holes drilled to pump insulation into the walls. The complaints matter and they cluster on the same two things. Site clean-up is both the most-praised and the most-complained-about part of the job: a June 2026 customer came home to chunks of cellulose all over the place and a vacuum left overnight, and a June 2025 customer kept finding piles of insulation and offcut sheetrock tucked under mats after a crew that seemed rushed and left early. Two accounts go further. A customer writing in April 2025 said the crew removed their heating system, crushed the tubing so badly it could not be reconnected, left it unhooked, told them the work was done, and that they were still without heat — and that a bathroom fan installed at the same time was causing mould. Separately an April 2025 review on Angi and HomeAdvisor about a $12,000 insulation job says the company never finished and charged twice as much, calling Andre Soares a thief. An undated review on the BBB profile calls them the worst experience that customer's business had ever had. None of these are resolved in anything on file. On balance a busy, well-staffed weatherization outfit whose ordinary jobs go well and whose named crews get genuine, detailed praise — but whose failures, when they happen, have been serious. If you are placed with them, agree the scope and the price in writing, agree what clean-up and "complete" mean, and walk the job with the foreman before releasing final payment.
“These guys were given to us by MassSave for our energy rebate. They were very professional and e”
“Recently, RISE determined that our little 1940s house had no insulation in the crawl space, walls, or attic and assigned the job to Superior Energy Solutions. Danielle kept us well informed and patiently answered all of my questions.”
We are so impressed with the work that Steve and his crew performed. All 3 men were very professional, friendly and polite. They arrived on time and ready to work. We had insulation put in our attic, they vented the bathroom fan, the fiberglassed the basement sills, weather stripped our doors and so much more that I can't begin to remember. Danielle the Director of Operations kept in touch with us all along the process. Superior Energy Solutions is a great company to work with. I have already recommended the program to our friends and hopefully, Superior is the company that will receive the contract. I wouldn't want my friends to have anyone else do the work! Thank you so much Superior Energy Solutions for a job well done!!!
They came to insulate the house I live in. What are the guys said he would use plastic in the doorway. I came home from work, to one of their vacuums they left overnight. No big deal. If they used it. I came back to a huge mess the following day. Chunks of cellulose all over the place. I took pictures! It was unfortunate as the two guys were pretty friendly.
Guys did a great job insulating my house luke and mike I don’t think they didn’t even take a lunch break kept going and when they were done they cleaned up like they were never here
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I cannot express what a fantastic job Steve, Mike and JJ did! They arrived early, put down drop cloths (despite my assurance they did not need to) worked continuously through the day (didn't take lunch) and cleaned up everything even vacuumed when they were done. I was extremely impressed with the quality of their work. Seams taped, foam sealant applied and no more draft from my front door or in the basement. This crew is friendly, approachable but are professional in taking pride in the job they do. Definitely a great service delivered by Superior Energy Solutions, but greater service provided Steve, Mike and JJ. They are an asset to your company and should be acknowledged!!! Thank you!!
Superior Energy Solutions was a pleasure to work with at every level. Danielle was great and fit us in despite snowstorm delays and a crazy schedule on our part. Steve, the foreman who handled the project was great - knowledgeable, competent, efficient, responsive, and friendly. I recommend Superior, Danielle, and Steve in the highest terms!!
