Most of Superior Energy Solutions' work arrives through the utility energy programs. A homeowner writing in November 2025 described how RISE found their 1940s house had no insulation in the crawl space, walls or attic and handed the job to this Swansea crew. The company says it covers Massachusetts and Rhode Island as an authorized Mass Save partner, doing weatherization, insulation, air sealing, blower-door and thermal-imaging work and ductless mini-split installation; BBB lists it as an S corporation started 2/3/2016 with 20 employees and Andre Soares as president and co-owner. Customers know the crew by name. Steve, the foreman, turns up in reviews from 2025 and 2026; Luke and Mike did the installing in three reviews between February and April 2026; Danielle runs the schedule, and a March 2026 review credits her with fitting the job in around snowstorm delays. Five reviews come back to the same thing — what the house looks like when they leave. Drop cloths went down on a March 2026 job despite the homeowner saying they weren't needed, a February 2026 reviewer noted the crew was careful not to track in dirt, and one April 2026 review put it simply: they cleaned up like they were never here. On an r/RhodeIsland thread in May 2026, a commenter said the same of a RISE job — a lot of blown insulation, cleaned up super well every day. The complaints land on exactly that. A 1-star Google review in June 2026 describes coming home to a vacuum the crew left overnight and, the following day, a huge mess with chunks of cellulose. A 1-star review in June 2025 describes finding more and more piles of insulation every day, and cut Sheetrock that seemed to have been put under mats. Two others are heavier. An April 2025 Angi review says the job was never finished and the customer was charged twice as much. A Google review dated April 2025 — filed at five stars, though its text is a complaint — says the crew ripped out a heating system, destroyed the lining of the pipe and crushed the tubing so badly they could not put it back. Its BBB page carries a strongly negative review as well. They do a great deal of this work. BuildZoom counts 443 permitted projects, 94 of them in the last three years, mostly HVAC and weatherization work in Plymouth, Hanson, Medway, Attleboro, Acushnet, Dighton and Holbrook, at a typical permit value near $4,247. One homeowner writing in August 2025 was on a third job that summer: mold remediation in an attic over a garage apartment, then air sealing and insulating it, then replacing rotted trim boards. Google's average sits at 4.8 across 32 ratings, while Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 3.7 from the same three reviews, since the HomeAdvisor profile mirrors the Angi one. For a program-referred attic, crawl space or air-sealing job, this is a crew that has done yours hundreds of times over. Put the scope in writing before they start — especially anything that has to be disconnected or cut into — settle what final cleanup covers, and if your house is old, ask where their EPA lead-safe renovation certification stands.
