Superior Fence & Rail is a Haverhill-based fence installer that has built an unusually large, unusually consistent trail of five-star reviews — dozens of Google ratings, nearly all naming the actual install crew by name, which is rare for a company this size. The throughline across the record is speed without corner-cutting. One reviewer, in a 2024 account, said Superior gave an estimate within days when competitors were weeks out, then installed the fence in 3-4 weeks versus the 2-3 months quoted elsewhere. Another, in a 2025 review, chose Superior after it matched a competitor's quote on price and still finished the earliest of anyone who'd bid the job — even working through heavy rain. A third crew, per a 2025 account, hand-set over 200 feet of chain-link posts, working from 10:30am to 7:30pm on day one alone to make sure every pole was properly cemented. The crews also come up again and again for handling difficult sites: reviewers describe fence lines with steep slopes and awkward angles, yards full of large rocks, and a job where installers hand-dug holes and called Dig Safe rather than risk hitting underground utilities. Recent activity, from mid-2026, keeps the same tone — quick, thoughtful installs with tidy cleanup. The sales side gets specific praise too: reps Joseph and Karen show up repeatedly as patient through multiple proposal revisions and quick with estimates — in one case accommodating a change order for an extra gate the day before install. Materials run the range: cedar, aluminum, vinyl, chain-link, and wood split-rail, with several reviewers replacing failing chain-link with vinyl or picket fencing. Across dozens of reviews there isn't a documented complaint in this record — worth treating with the normal skepticism that applies to any run of near-uniform five-star ratings, but the specificity here (named crews, exact footage, exact timelines, side-by-side comparisons to other bidders) is the kind of detail that's hard to manufacture at this volume. Worth a call for any residential fence project, with the standard ask for a firm written estimate.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Superior Fence & Rail. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

We're so happy with Superior Fence Company. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew were very thoughtful and just did a beautiful job of installation.
Excellent service; the team went above and beyond to make our fence just what we–and our anxious pup!–needed. Would recommend to anyone.
The Marconi Team installed a part cedar/part aluminum fence in my yard. They did a fantastic job. They were communicative, thorough, very hard working, professional and tidy - all during barbaric weather conditions. I highly recommend them.
My next door neighbor referred me to Superior Fence & Rail, and I am very glad she did! I needed 130' of wooden split-rail fencing replaced; in addition, I wanted to have a metal safety rail built for the granite & pavestone pathway from my driveway up to my front landing (elevation change of approx. 15'.) From my 1st meeting with Joseph (Sales), I felt good about the choice of Superior. Joe listened carefully to what I told him I wanted; made all necessary measurements, etc., & had a thorough estimate back to me within 2 days. I agreed to the terms; products were ordered, & work began on Monday, Dec. 1st. Superior's workers, under the direction of Marcos - who turned out to be a master craftsman, especially important with my aluminum safety rail, which not only had the elevation change, but a compound curve as well. The split rail - all 130' of it, plus additional gate w/latch, was completed in 1 working day. I've already received several compliments from neighbors over how great it looks...and they're right! The metal work for the safety rail was begun that day as well, but a snowstorm arriving overnight stopped work for Tuesday. But Marcos & assistant, Daniel, arrived early Wednesday a.m. I had a few questions - due to my misunderstanding of how the railing needed to be constructed - but Marcos clarified all issues to my complete satisfaction. I was even paid a visit from Adam & Karen, both from Superior's Management Team - a 60 mile drive from their offices to my home, on icy roads! - to assure that I was happy. Marcos & Daniel worked all day, past sundown, to complete the railing. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! Superior Fence & Rail may not be the least expensive fence contractor around, but then, great work usually isn't. I felt their price was fair - especially considering the high caliber of the work performed. From the rapid completion of the project; the excellent customer service & follow-through, from Sales, through masterful construction, to Management's personal touch, I can state unequivocally that I believe Superior Fence & Rail to be among that seemingly rare breed of contractors that does work of the highest quality, at a fair price...and does what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it. And the follow-through & follow-up is second to none. (This, coming from a guy who did business-to-business sales & customer service for 35+ years.) 5-star rating... & if Google had a 7-star, Superior Fence & Rail would get one from me. Thank you, Superior Fence & Rail!
