The name customers thank first in Superior Fence & Rail's reviews is rarely the company's — it's the install crew's. Based in Haverhill, the business is one outpost of a Massachusetts-wide franchise, and on its Angi listing it describes itself as a 'Boston-metro area' fence company that's been in business since 2009, installing wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain-link, and steel fencing. Google puts it at a flat 5.0 across 61 ratings, and the 59 reviews gathered since 2024 read like a roll call of the same few crews. Marconi's team gets singled out for finishing a part-cedar, part-aluminum fence through what one customer called 'barbaric weather conditions'; Welberth, Theo, and Exposito turn up repeatedly for tear-down-and-rebuild jobs; Bruno and Leo show up across chain-link and vinyl installs alike. The pattern held into the last six months too — two fresh five-star reviews, one praising a 'beautiful job of installation,' the other noting the crew went out of its way to put the family's 'anxious pup' at ease during the build. Its Angi record is thinner — 4 ratings, still a solid 4.9, not much to lean on by itself. And because the Superior Fence & Rail name covers several Massachusetts locations, one review in its history credits the work to 'Superior Fence & Rail (Walpole, MA)' rather than Haverhill, so it's worth confirming which crew is actually quoting your job. For a straightforward wood, vinyl, aluminum, or chain-link fence around Haverhill, the recurring installer names and the run of five-star Google reviews make a case that needs little embellishment. Ask about materials and gate options up front — the jobs on record range from split-rail to picket to full privacy fencing, not one narrow specialty — and confirm you're booking the Haverhill branch specifically.

Excellent service; the team went above and beyond to make our fence just what we–and our anxious pup!–needed. Would recommend to anyone.

The Marconi Team installed a part cedar/part aluminum fence in my yard. They did a fantastic job. They were communicative, thorough, very hard working, professional and tidy - all during barbaric weather conditions. I highly recommend them.

My next door neighbor referred me to Superior Fence & Rail, and I am very glad she did! I needed 130' of wooden split-rail fencing replaced; in addition, I wanted to have a metal safety rail built for the granite & pavestone pathway from my driveway up to my front landing (elevation change of approx. 15'.) From my 1st meeting with Joseph (Sales), I felt good about the choice of Superior. Joe listened carefully to what I told him I wanted; made all necessary measurements, etc., & had a thorough estimate back to me within 2 days. I agreed to the terms; products were ordered, & work began on Monday, Dec. 1st. Superior's workers, under the direction of Marcos - who turned out to be a master craftsman, especially important with my aluminum safety rail, which not only had the elevation change, but a compound curve as well. The split rail - all 130' of it, plus additional gate w/latch, was completed in 1 working day. I've already received several compliments from neighbors over how great it looks...and they're right! The metal work for the safety rail was begun that day as well, but a snowstorm arriving overnight stopped work for Tuesday. But Marcos & assistant, Daniel, arrived early Wednesday a.m. I had a few questions - due to my misunderstanding of how the railing needed to be constructed - but Marcos clarified all issues to my complete satisfaction. I was even paid a visit from Adam & Karen, both from Superior's Management Team - a 60 mile drive from their offices to my home, on icy roads! - to assure that I was happy. Marcos & Daniel worked all day, past sundown, to complete the railing. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! Superior Fence & Rail may not be the least expensive fence contractor around, but then, great work usually isn't. I felt their price was fair - especially considering the high caliber of the work performed. From the rapid completion of the project; the excellent customer service & follow-through, from Sales, through masterful construction, to Management's personal touch, I can state unequivocally that I believe Superior Fence & Rail to be among that seemingly rare breed of contractors that does work of the highest quality, at a fair price...and does what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it. And the follow-through & follow-up is second to none. (This, coming from a guy who did business-to-business sales & customer service for 35+ years.) 5-star rating... & if Google had a 7-star, Superior Fence & Rail would get one from me. Thank you, Superior Fence & Rail!
