A September 2026 customer of Superior Hearth, Spas & Leisure said Gene comes every year to clean their gas insert fireplace; an October 2026 customer said Gene has serviced their pellet stove every year since they got it. Sam, in a September 2026 review, put a cloth down to protect the floors, covered his shoes and left the fireplace working better than it ever had. The Milldale, Connecticut shop sells and installs fireplaces, wood, gas and pellet stoves and inserts, and also sells hot tubs, saunas and grills. The company says it has been in business 32 years, and its BBB grade is A+. In a December 2025 review, a customer says Angel and his crew installed a Blaze King wood stove insert. A July 2026 customer got a gas fireplace with a custom-cut faceplate worked around a brick and wood wall, and a January 2026 Reddit commenter said the shop did their Harman pellet stove install. In a January 2026 1-star review, the customer said they were told a new Vermont Casting stove would not need new piping or venting, then were told at install that it needed a new stove pipe and vent system for about another $1000. In a September 2026 1-star review, a customer who bought a house with a ten-year-old Quadrafire pellet stove said the shop would not service it without a service contract or paperwork proving it was bought from them, and would not sell them a service contract. In a November 2025 review, a customer described five weeks without a call back on a warranty issue, and in a February 2025 review a customer said they were charged an installer fee after an insert did not fit. A July 2026 customer wished the shop had its own electricians and plumbers for the electric and gas hookups, and a March 2026 customer wished it would suggest a propane company and electrician during the sale.
