Most of what T&K Asphalt does never touches a house. The Whitman company's main business is commercial parking-lot maintenance — paving, sealcoating, line striping, concrete and snow removal for property owners and managers across New England — and the Better Business Bureau lists it as a corporation with 99 employees and four locations: Whitman and Sandwich in Massachusetts, Cranston in Rhode Island and Derry in New Hampshire. For homeowners there is one door in: driveway sealcoating, which the company says it offers in southeastern Massachusetts, the South Shore, Cape Cod and MetroWest. Paving or rebuilding a residential driveway is not what it presents itself as doing. The origin story is its own: two childhood friends from Hanover started sealcoating driveways in 1987 to earn money for college, and the site credits Kevin Gosnell as founder. BBB tells it differently — a business start of 1 January 1994 and 32 years in business, against the 39 the company claims. Worth knowing, not damning: incorporation and BBB file dates often lag the actual start. Outside voices are scarce. In an April 2026 Reddit thread about driveway sealcoating in Quincy, a commenter called T&K a large company and recalled that when they collected pricing years earlier it came in best, adding that it used Google Earth to produce an instant quote. That is one person, and the price comparison is old, so treat it as history rather than today's rate. Nothing else about customer experience is published: its BBB page shows an A+ grade with no reviews and no complaints, and it is not BBB accredited. If you want a driveway sealed on the South Shore or the Cape, this is a large, long-running operation whose day job is commercial lots. Get the quote in writing, ask whether anyone walks the driveway or the number comes off satellite imagery, and pin down the sealer and number of coats before scheduling.
