The power came back on Friday the 13th, but the generator kept running and the house never transferred over — so the homeowner drove down to Malley Electric's shop on Central Street in Hudson. Someone came right up, found the transfer switch had fried, put the house back on utility power by hand, ordered the parts and returned a few days later with a new switch and relay. That February 2026 account is the shape of most of what people write about this shop: generators, panels, and a fast answer when something electrical has gone badly wrong. Tim Malley started the company in 2000 and still holds the licences himself. His New Hampshire electrician license, 1504, is active, and his Massachusetts electrician license, 1517, is active as well; the company's own site adds a Massachusetts master number, 905, and a Maine registration. It is an authorized Generac dealer, selling, installing and maintaining whole-house generators, and the BBB has graded it A+ since accrediting it in January 2025. The emergencies keep turning up in the reviews. A 2023 customer whose frozen pipe burst and poured water over the electrical panel said Tim was on site the same day, loaned them a generator, and coordinated the repairs with Eversource and the town building inspector. Planned work moves quickly too: a May 2025 reviewer was scheduled within a few days and had six hallway fixtures, a kitchen chandelier and two tripping switches swapped inside a couple of hours. A homeowner writing in April 2026 said they had been calling Malley for ten years, for everything from new installations to fire alarms, with an eye on fire codes each time. The complaints cluster on what happens before the truck shows up. A 2023 reviewer said they chased a quote for bonding a pool three separate times over nearly three weeks and never received one. A November 2025 customer called the work decent but said promised callbacks never came, and said they would not use the company again. A 2025 reviewer, satisfied with the speed, still thought $190 to replace a fuse was steep. For generator work and for the electrical emergency nobody plans for, this is a small, licensed, owner-run shop with a decade of repeat customers behind it. If what you need is a quote for planned work, get a firm date for that quote up front.
“Malley Electric did an excellent job for me, came in under budget!”
Cuando necesites algo para tu uso o para tu negocio hay puedes ir . hay detodo y para todos.
We've had nothing by great work done on our house by TJ Malley Electric. They react to emergencies and charge a fair price for their work.
Everyone was so kind and helpful. I am so grateful for TJMalley
A long overdue review to a business that rates more than 5 stars. I have been doing business with Malley electric since moving to New Hampshire ten years ago.I have had , first Tim, and later Dave in my home for everything from New installations to fire alarms. In every case they were knowledgeable, and efficient. Paying strict attention to fire codes. Everyone is upbeat and friendly with a "can do " attitude. I looked forward to their next job so much that I asked them to work on my daughter's home in Mass. Which prompts this review. Thanks for running a great shop. .
They did a great job. Fast, friendly and efficient.
