T. L. Edwards, Inc. is an asphalt business in Avon, MA. By its own account it is an approved MADOT manufacturer and installer of Hot Mix Asphalt performing state, municipal, and commercial applications, has been in the asphalt paving business since 1969, and has locations in Avon and Plymouth along with a fleet of company owned trucks. A 2024 Google review said the Avon crew doing the Grove St, Scituate paving project did a great job, and that the berm they created to prevent runoff should solve the erosion problem. At the plant, a 2026 review called it a good mix and said they make sure you are lined up right on a first visit for mix. A 2022 review thanked them for base, sand and gravel and for letting them dump fill, dirty and clean, all at a great price. A 2023 review said mix quality varied from day to day in their batch plant, and added "Overall definitely happy and will continue to give them my business." A 2025 review of a street repaving was critical: it said all they did was put asphalt on top of the already cracking asphalt, and that their employees threatened to tow a car off a street with no signs posted.
“the Plymouth Zoning Board of Appeals pumped the brakes Monday night on the application of T.L. Edwards Inc., which wants to build a gas station and convenience store at the corner of Cherry Street and Commerce Way — the entry point for its gravel yard and rock crushing operation visible from Route 44.”
“TL (Terry) Edwards, who is 80 but still works 40 hours a week, Sims said, wants to consolidate the plant, at 300 Cherry St., with another he owns in Avon, and “at the same time capture the retail business that would be much more attractive in Plymouth.””
Good mix and awesome people working there especially the asphalt plant man was cool and not grouchy like some are they make sure your lined up rite if it's your first time there getting mix so good experience
They just did my entire street over and needless to say all they did was put asphalt on top of the already cracking asphalt. But who knows maybe that’s all that Brockton could afford to pay for. What I’m really curious about is why their employees are threatening to tow my car off of a street with no signs posted saying that I can’t park there? You can’t threaten to tow someone’s car because they’re parked in the spot that you wanna park in for your other trucks to work on the street. Needless to say threatening people to try to get your way is very unprofessional and I think you should have a talk with your employee. I have the truck number and plate if you wanna message me for more details privately. Needless to say, they want me to move my vehicle so they can dig up the dirt and make the grass on our easement because we don’t have a sidewalk into a dirt easement. A picture of their professional work is as follows
The cleanest plant I have seen in Massachusetts.
The Avon crew doing the Grove St, Scituate paving project did a great job! The berm they created to prevent runoff should solve with the erosion problem.
Anytime I've ever gone there. The woman behind the desk Is super courteous respectful and helpful. It doesn't hurt that she's stunningly beautiful too..
