TekRoof

Rafael gets up on the roof himself before he quotes. A homeowner writing in January 2023 said he found where the leak was coming from and then suggested repairs they could do on their own to save money. A property manager has used TekRoof at least a dozen times around Jamaica Plain, from small repairs to full replacements. The Marlborough company does residential and commercial roof repair, replacement, installation, maintenance and storm and insurance-claim work across Greater Boston and Central Massachusetts, and describes itself as a family-owned roofer of more than twenty years. The jobs customers describe go well beyond asphalt. In 2023 a retail property owner had slate repaired and copper-lined wooden gutter boxes, fascia and trim rebuilt; a 2022 customer had an 1800s barn re-roofed and old vent holes patched; another had 3,300 square feet stripped, the sheathing inspected and a whole new roof installed. A 2021 reviewer with Spanish clay tile terracotta said TekRoof is one of the few Massachusetts companies that knows how to work on it. In 2023 a leaking bathroom fan and storm damage to a roof ridge were both dealt with inside a week, and a crew coordinated with the homeowner's general contractor after a tree came down on the house. Customers writing in November and December 2025 were sent photographs and video of the work as it went, on a roof replacement and on a commercial gutter replacement with rubber-roof patching. A general contractor of thirty years had a badly done second-floor balcony re-roofed in November 2025 and called the result outstanding. Several mention the site being cleaned up at the end of each day, and one 2025 replacement started and finished on schedule. Two things to know. In August 2022 someone who had been quoted for a roof and gutters wrote that the salesman never came back to them, four days and then another week after the visit, and gave one star for it. And a customer in August 2023 said that whatever time they rang, they got an after-hours answering service, though they were happy with the work, the price and the response once it started. This is a strong call for a roof replacement, a leak, storm damage or an insurance claim between Marlborough and Greater Boston, and one of the few local options for slate, clay tile and copper work. Ask for Rafael by name, get the quote in writing before the visit ends, and agree who to call if the follow-up goes quiet.
