"Our yard is no longer a marsh, the road no longer a stream," a 2023 customer wrote after TerrainTek took on the stormwater running off a hill into the yard and across the driveway. That 2023 customer said the company worked out a plan, and that the water then drained into a new ditch along the road leading to a culvert, held in the swale by a new berm. In the same 2023 review, the customer said a french drain in the backyard was channeling the water from the hill down to a drainage ditch, and described several check-ins with Chris and TerrainTek during the project. A 2025 customer who had moved from Essex to Underhill said Chris and his team made sure their 1000-foot driveway was plowed and sanded for the major deliveries of the move. A 2023 reviewer recommended the company's site work both to contractors who want to sub out excavating and to property owners. On Google, it holds 5 stars from 4 ratings.
Having recently moved from Essex to Underhill, we were a little intimidated by our 1000' driveway during winter. Chris and his team ensured we were plowed and sanded for all of the major deliveries we had during our initial move. It has been a huge relief to know they are just a phone call away. Chris was high touch, hands on and very attentive during our move to Underhill. Highly recommended.
Professional and friendly. Handle site work with your best interests in mind. Highly recommend terrain tek for contractors that want to sub out excavating and property owners alike.
After moving into our house on a hill a few years ago, we noticed some issues with how stormwater would drain into our yard as well as across our driveway / road after a good rain storm from the hill and from our gutter downspouts. This was causing some concerns over time. We called TerrainTek to help us out, and worked out a plan. The work has now been done, and it looks better than I could have imagined. The water is draining into a new ditch along the road that leads to a culvert, and is kept in the swale with a new berm on the other side. In the backyard, the french drain seems to be catching every drop of water from the hill and channeling it down to a drainage ditch as intended. Our yard is no longer a marsh, the road no longer a stream. This was a lot of work, and it was very well done every step of the way. From the communication, to the planning, to the execution, it was very easy working with Chris and TerrainTek. There were several check-ins during the project to ensure things were going smoothly and coming out the way we had planned. Things couldn't have been made easier for us, and we appreciate the thoughtful approach and expertise that went into this project. My new hobby is to stand in the rain and watch all the drainage do its job. Great work!
