A 2022 customer wrote that they hired Jason Pearce/Green Excavation of Richmond, Vermont, to remove old concrete and pour new concrete around their pool. That 2022 customer said a job that was supposed to take 2 weeks turned into three months, with their yard and two fences damaged and the sides of the inground pool left exposed for weeks. The same 2022 review said they fired him after he tried to get more money, then won a judgment against him in VT court in June 2021, and as of April 2022 were still trying to get their money back.
Absolutely terrible experience in the summer of 2020, so bad that we won a judgment against him in VT court in June 2021 and as of April 2022 we’re still trying to get our money back. Hired Jason Pearce/Green Excavation to remove old concrete and pour new concrete around our pool. What was supposed to be a 2-week job turned into a three month nightmare: our yard and two fences were damaged, and the sides of our inground pool were left exposed for weeks. Our property was a wreck and inadequately secured after the fences came down. Pearce did almost no work during this time, showing up for a few hours then disappearing for days and weeks with a never ending string of personal, work, and health excuses. The last straw was when he tried to get more money from us despite an entire summer with no progress made—that’s when we fired him. He refused to return the money we had paid him so we had to take him to court. Protect your money and your property: do not hire Jason Pearce or his company Green Excavation of Richmond, Vermont.
