Tesoro Floor Covering has been Jerry Tesoro's shop in Braintree since 1982 — 44 years in the trade with three employees, sold the shop-at-home way, with samples brought to the house instead of a trip to a showroom. The work is carpeting, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, and granite and marble tile. The Better Business Bureau grades the business A+. For a carpet or tile job where you would rather choose the material in the room it is going into, this is a small owner-run shop built around exactly that. Before signing, pin down what the quote covers — measuring, removing the old covering, subfloor prep — and the installation dates.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Tesoro Floor Covering. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
