The BrickKicker of Vermont inspects homes, and on Google it holds 5 stars from 145 ratings. The company says it has been in business 37 years and lists Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle and Addison as its service area. A recent customer said two inspectors arrived early, one doing the exterior while the other did the interior, and called the price the most reasonable of the three companies they called. A recent buyer said Dwight was thorough on a house that had a lot going on and was glad to have the assessment for negotiations. A first-time homebuyer wrote recently that Nick Satterfield walked them through everything step by step, explaining what was simply routine versus what deserved attention. A 2025 customer said Calvin used drones and thermal imaging, and that in less than 24 hours they had a 70+ page report with over 30 pages of photos. A 2025 customer said the results arrived as a 60+ page document that included radon and water test results. A 2024 customer said Calvin came with additional testing options and that they went with the mold testing. A 2025 customer said Calvin recommended holding off on a service they did not need. A recent 4-star reviewer said the inspector took time to explain things, but wished the report had been more specific: the house had a mix of grounded and ungrounded outlets, and the report did not say which rooms the ungrounded ones were in. A Realtor wrote in 2025 that the company is so popular it is often booked far out.
Dwight was very helpful and thorough on a house that had a lot going on. Very glad to have the info and assessment for negotiations.
Dwight was great, very thorough and knowledgeable. Explained everything in detail - incredibly helpful and friendly. Thanks Dwight and co!
Very thorough. And took the time to. Explain things to us as he went. Some of the findings in the report could have benefited from more specificity (for example, the house has a mix of grounded and ungrounded outlets, but the report only mentions that ungrounded outlets are present. Knowing which rooms they were in could have helped). Overall a good experience that left us much more confident in purchasing our home, and knowing what projects we would need to be doing.
Dwight and Keagan were excellent! They arrived early and were very friendly throughout the inspection. They explained everything and answered all our questions. Physically showed us everything we needed to see. They were extremely fast on getting a report back to us in hand. Would highly recommend.
The brick kicker guys did a thorough and efficient inspection and communicated their observations very clearly.
