In October 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that one company had quoted them a full roof replacement, while Mike at The Roofing Store inspected everything, documented it with photos and explained that a targeted repair would fix their actual problems at a much more reasonable price. The job they describe replaced the back roof, repaired the front, and added a new ridge vent and two new skylights, with bath fans rerouted to vent outside and attic insulation replaced. The Roofing Store LLC is on Norwich Road in Plainfield, Connecticut, and says it has 44 years in business; its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0606398, is active with the state under THE ROOFING STORE LLC. Google shows 4.7 stars from 59 ratings and Angi 4.5 stars from 34. In a November 2025 Google review, a mobile-home resident described a fluted metal roof on a 1963 trailer that needed EPS flute fillers and wood sheets for a rubber membrane overlay; the project came in just under $12,000 against quotes of around $17,000, and the crew finished in about three days. The same reviewer wrote that a kitchen vent pipe then leaked, that Ben reworked it and that Dave returned to seal it further while they monitored it. In April 2026 a homeowners association reviewer wrote that the company replaced the roofs on a community of 8 condos in two days against an estimate of six. In a March 2026 review, a customer who had 21 windows replaced for over $20,000 praised the workers but wrote that the office did not answer after four calls about a manufacturer ID for a tax credit. A November 2023 reviewer wrote that when a tree fell on their roof in 2021, they heard back from the company 6 months later. In a 2007 Angi review, a customer wrote that a different brand of metal roofing than the contract called for was installed without telling them, and that months later they still had not been told what was on the house.
Mike, Ben and crew did a fantastic job on my Windows! They have done previous work in the past, Roof and Exterior work and all top notch!....Highly Recommend!
Great experience. Highly recommend. The entire staff was so so kind.
Very satisfied with the work done on my roof. From the start, talking with Beth on the phone asking questions to Mike coming to quote us and during the job interacting with Ben made everything so easy. They are great at answering all your questions and concerns. Ben giving updates about the work and he was quick to answer your text back. Will recommend
We got two estimates for our roof. One company quoted a full replacement. Mike at The Roofing Store inspected everything, documented it with photos, and explained that a targeted repair would fix our actual problems, at a much more reasonable price. He answered all of my many questions and was always reassuring, which put me at ease throughout the project. Beth was also very helpful along the way. The scope was bigger than a typical roof job: the back roof replaced, front repairs, a new ridge vent, two new skylights, bath fans rerouted to vent properly outside, gable vents blocked, attic insulation replaced, and a new kitchen vent. Ben, Mike, and Mark were great to work with on site. They worked through some tricky details on the kitchen venting and checked with me when it mattered, like wood framing versus sheetrock for the skylights and where to place the skylights and vents so they looked right. They even found and fixed a mouse-chewed wire in the attic. The finished work looks great, the natural light in the bathrooms is life-changing, and the lifetime labor warranty is a nice bit of extra peace of mind. I'd hire them again and recommend them to anyone in the Plainfield area.
Our homeowners association contracted the roofing store for the replacement of our community of 8 condos and we were absolutely blown away by how quickly and professionally they completed the install. They had estimated 3 days per roof for a total duration of 6 days (4 units on one side and 4 units on the other) and they completed the work in two days. Mike, Ben, Beth, and their whole team are an absolute pleasure to work with and even when we encountered issues with our propane lines (which run up through our attics) they went above and beyond to provide support and see that everything was in order before calling the job complete. The quality of their work and the overall experience was exceptional and I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done.
