The Stone Cobblers runs a kitchen and bath design showroom at 317 West Boylston Street in West Boylston, where the company says it has spent more than 20 years designing kitchens and baths and fabricating stone countertops. Its own site describes a family-owned operation that cuts granite, quartz, marble and quartzite on site and sells kitchen, bath and island cabinetry alongside it. The Better Business Bureau has held a file since 2007, lists the business as accredited with an A+ grade, and records 21 years in business and nine employees. Ownership changed hands recently, and the reviews show the seam. BBB records a Date of New Ownership and a business incorporation both dated 7 March 2024, with Phoebe Siter as owner; the two Houzz reviews, both from 2017, instead name Helena and Jim Donlevy as the people running it. A January 2025 Google reviewer called Phoebe the new owner and said she had been with the company for years, so the handover reads as internal rather than a change of crew. What customers hire them for is consistent across nine years of comments: choosing a slab and getting it templated, fabricated and installed. In a March 2024 review a homeowner described a full kitchen replaced in Mystery White dolomitic marble, with templating done accurately, installation completed on time and sealer applied generously. In an August 2024 review another chose a quartzite slab, praised owner Jim for answering e-mails and phone calls, and was having a second counter cut from the remainder. A March 2022 customer had quartz counters installed across four bathrooms and one large kitchen and said the company committed to a timeline and kept to it. Staff names recur across years and across different reviewers, which makes the five-star run read as a real history rather than a batch of one-liners. Small work gets the same treatment: an April 2026 customer brought in two bureau tops for colour matching, and a July 2025 customer found a single replacement cabinet door here after several other suppliers carrying the brand could not help. Two things are worth raising before booking. The Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration number 158970 is recorded in the state registry under THE STONE COBBLERS, LLC and shows as expired, so ask where that stands if the job goes beyond supplying and setting the counter. And this is a supplier, designer and installer rather than a general contractor: a September 2024 reviewer said the company gave general contractor recommendations, and a May 2022 reviewer said it helped secure a contractor and then worked alongside them. They are the right call if you want to walk a showroom, pick a slab, and have one company handle the design, the fabrication and the install. Confirm the registration status, and confirm who is handling any demolition, plumbing or electrical work around the new counters.

Great experience working with Ted and Jodi to make all of our countertop selections for our new house. They were quick. They were also transparent about pricing and able to quickly give us pricing on different options while we were on site.
It has been a pleasure to work with Phoebe at The Stone Cobblers for her kitchen and bath projects. She provides greatly detailed information that enables me to help her clients with their selections. I highly recommend her for your next project.
I have been trying to hunt down a replacement cabinet door that came with the home I purchased. After calling multiple other places that were unable to help me despite carrying the brand, Ted was able to help me match the finish and style and have it ordered so quickly. I was very impressed with the customer service and grateful for the fast assistance.
