Janis stopped into TileCraft in January 2026 about a small tiling problem she figured she would fix herself. The upstairs bathroom in question had been done in July 2000. The shop sent someone out instead, at no charge. TileCraft says it has sold and installed flooring on the South Coast since 1992 — tile, marble, hardwood, luxury vinyl, vinyl sheet and carpet, out of a two-floor showroom in Fairhaven — and describes itself as a second-generation family business, started by Andrew Buzniak and now run by his son Christopher. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade and lists a sole proprietorship with three employees, dating the business to 1990; it is not BBB accredited. The towns the company names are Fairhaven, Marion, Mattapoisett, Dartmouth and New Bedford. On Google it holds 4.3 stars across 21 ratings, and the praise leans on the showroom as much as on the crew. A January 2025 customer credited a TileCraft staffer with sourcing solid black-and-white tile for a checkerboard kitchen floor, writing that she was the only person in Massachusetts or Rhode Island who could do it. A 2024 reviewer had first used the shop in the early 1990s and came back for tile repair after a granite countertop and backsplash came out; Chris came to look at it himself. A 2022 customer said a bathroom remodel ran on time. A 2025 review called it a family-owned local business with professional installers. Both one-star reviews land in 2023 and both are specific. One buyer wrote that the shop measured incorrectly, came up short on tile, then billed them for the freight on the second shipment — twice-paid shipping for the shop's own error — and said their contractor was handed the wrong tile. The other had chased down an estimate for an ADA shower, and on the scheduled day was told it had never been entered in the calendar and to go somewhere else. Nothing since repeats either account, but they point at the same two things to settle up front: get the measurement and the tile quantity in writing before an order ships, and get the appointment confirmed. Houzz lists a license number for the company, which is that directory's entry rather than a verified registration; Massachusetts does not require home improvement contractor registration for floor-covering-only work. The company says its installers work with Schluter Systems. If you want to pick material in person and have the same shop set it, this is a long-established local option whose customers keep coming back years later — with the ordering details worth pinning down before you sign.
