Three feet of snow did not hold up one Title V inspection: in a 2026 Google review, a homeowner said Patrick did it right after that storm, found a distribution box about 10 ft away from anything the homeowner was aware of using a map from the town and his sensor tool, and got to it two and a half feet down. In that same 2026 review, the system of about 50 years passed without needing any fixes, and the report was emailed very fast. In another 2026 review, a homeowner who needed a Title 5 inspection before listing the house for sale said Patrick picked up the phone immediately, fit the job in earlier after an unexpected cancellation, and finished despite rain that started halfway through the digging. That 2026 reviewer added that they do all the filing with the health department and take payment by credit card at the appointment. The older accounts are about the same inspection work. A 2025 reviewer said Patrick Rutledge showed up on time for a septic tank inspection and followed up his report the next day. In a 2023 review, a seller on a tight deadline said he filed the paperwork in under 24 hours. A 2022 reviewer buying a house said Patrick did not charge an additional fee even though he had to spend additional time digging to find the septic tank. The company's website says it prides itself on keeping a clean work site and not causing unnecessary damage to lawns and landscaping.

Was needing a Title 5 inspection right away with plans to list our home for sale within two weeks. Patrick picked up the phone immediately and I didn’t have to leave a message. Great news! An appt was made with an inspection that was set up for the next week. We received even more good news as Patrick had an unexpected cancellation and was able to fit us in even earlier. In spite of the rain that started halfway through the digging, Patrick finished the job with a smile on his face. The service was professional, detail oriented, and our report was received back in a timely manner. We were not given a referral but just picked the business out of a Google search for “Cape Cod Septic inspections,” and our first choice turned out to be the best choice. If you are reading this review to consider this business, then please choose them! They do all the filing with the health department and all you have to do is be available to let them on your property. It’s easy to settle up payment at the appointment with a credit card electronically through their company IPAD. Highly recommend them for a fast, easy and professional inspection.
Patrick did my Title V inspection this past week right after we got 3 feet of snow! Yes....3 feet. When I was trying to initially get in contact to book an appointment with him, he was out of town but was still nice enough to call me back, answer a bunch of my questions and schedule an appointment! Also, he was able to do my inspection only one week later! The system is 50 ish years old and I was very nervous. He has a very calm demeanor and made me feel more relaxed about the situation and said its better off that I know what is going on with it than not being that its that old. I had dug out much of the snow but turns out my distro box was like 10 ft away from anything I was aware of haha. He had a map/layout from the town and was easily able to locate it with his sensor tool. We got that snow dug out and then the box was two and a half feet down in the ground as well. Haha. He had no problem getting to it though and after checking everything out I was EXTREMELY happy to find out that, not only was I passing but didn't need any fixes and things should be good for awhile. What a relief! Thanks so much Patrick. His price was great too especially for having to deal with this ridiculous weather! Ill def be keeping in touch. Oh and he had the report emailed to me very fast! Thanks for being such a nice guy too!
Patrick returned my phone call in a timely manner. He arrived for the at time we agreed on. Once he arrived, he answered all of my questions. The inspection was performed in a timely manner. He was very pleasant, professional, and very attentive. The price was reasonable.I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs his service.
