Tommy's Hardwood Floors says it has been in business for 20 years. The newest account is a hard one. A recent customer said the job was not finished and that texts and calls went unanswered after the money was paid over. That customer described bare wood after the refinish, scratches in the middle of the floor and polyurethane drips down the stairs. A 2023 customer said Tommy and his crew did the hardwood floors, and said Tommy was professional, punctual and too expensive. A 2021 customer said John explained the process and finished the work on time, and praised the price. A 2022 reviewer said Tommy did their floors about 12 years earlier and wrote that they had been unable to get in contact with Tommy about having the floors done over. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0613897, as expired, held by Tommy's Hardwood Floors.
Didn’t finish the job and stopped responding to text and calls after taking the money. Look for someone else! Some wood bare after poor refinish (it was not bare before!), scratches in the middle of the floor, drips polyurethane down the stairs… absolutely terrible job!

Tommy hardwood flooring did my floors about 12 years ago, an did an amazing job. I've been trying to contact Tommy recently to have floors in my house done over. I've been unable to get in contact with Tommy. Does anyone know if the company is still in business?
John explained the process and finished the work on time. The floors look great. Don’t waste your time getting quotes from anyone else. Their price can’t be beat and their work is excellent.
