Top Notch Transitional Services started on the far side of the 2008 housing crash. Its own account on Porch says the Milton company was conceptualized in 2010 doing property preservation for Fannie Mae, HUD and Bank of America — putting foreclosed and distressed houses back into bank-ready condition — then turned that work toward homeowners in the middle of a life change: estate cleanouts, downsizing, senior relocations, hoarding situations, fire and flood aftermath. The company says it has transitioned over a thousand families, and lists roughly 170 eastern Massachusetts towns and neighborhoods in its service area. A September 2025 EURweb article about A&E's "Hoarders" describes founder Brandon Bronaugh's later company, LifeCycle Transitions, as having evolved out of Top Notch Transitional Services. The licensing picture is what to sort out before calling. BuildZoom records the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration tied to the business, #184073, as having expired on 13 December 2017, re-verified as expired in April 2026, and reports the state status as at one point cancelled — which is why its BuildZoom score sits at zero. For cleanout, downsizing and relocation work that registration is not the issue. For anything that counts as home improvement it is: ask about current registration and insurance in writing, and ask for local references you can actually call.
