Trillium Tree & Landscape has worked out of 65 Reservoir Street in Northborough since 1994 — 32 years by BBB's count, incorporated in 2002, six employees, David J. Smith listed as president. The scope it describes for itself is wide for a six-person outfit: tree removal, stump grinding and crane service, landscape design and maintenance, spring and fall cleanups, patios and walkways, and snow removal for homes and businesses. What's missing is customers talking. One written Google review, from 2022, says only "Great company to work with," behind a 5-star average built on two ratings. BBB carries an A+ with no reviews and no complaints filed, and the company is not accredited. That is too little to judge the work by in either direction. One other note, and it needs framing: a former employee's review posted on Indeed describes coworkers as negative and unwilling to train. It's an account of working there, not of a finished job, and shouldn't be read as either a warning about the work or a reassurance. If they're on your list, treat this as a page nobody has written yet. Ask for recent references in your town and photos of comparable jobs, and get the "Guarantee Our Work" policy BBB records written into the contract.
