A roof that leaks less than two years after Trinity Solar redid it, and two weeks to get someone out to look: that August 2026 Google review is the sharpest account on file for this North Kingstown solar and roofing company. The customer says the office promised a callback the next day, then offered a visit two weeks out, and was given a string of explanations they dispute — that the roof was over five years old, that there was no chimney flashing, that the bathroom vent or a crumbling chimney was to blame. Other recent customers describe a different experience. In October 2026 a homeowner credited Grayson with keeping a project on track and coordinating with their metal roof company so the warranty held. An August 2026 reviewer called Joe Liptak knowledgeable and honest and said he answered every question and got the work done. A June 2026 customer had Trinity correct a system failure and said the team got a complex issue fixed quickly. Another June 2026 review has nothing to say about the work at all — only about a pushy salesman who came to the house and took up 20 minutes. On Google the company holds 4 stars from 116 ratings. In a 2023 Reddit thread, a Providence homeowner said they got their system for free through Trinity Solar, installed in November 2022, and that it had been pretty great after almost a year; the same commenter said Trinity was clear that most friends and family would not qualify for the same deal. The company says it has been in business for three decades and offers free estimates. Its Rhode Island contractor registration, GC-50901, held by Trinity Solar, LLC, is expired on the state registry.

Grayson did a great job helping keep my project on track, during very difficult times. He was also key in coordinating with my Metal roof company, so my warranty was maintained.

Joe Liptak is incredibly knowledgeable and honest. He was able to answer. All questions asked. He got the work done , what an incredible job I’m so happy I would recommend him. I have recommended him and will continue to. He’s probably the first honest person I have worked with. Highly highly recommend recommended.
When I called the office about my roof leak they said roof leaks are their highest priority so they would call back the next day. 3 days later when I called them to follow up, the earliest time they were willing to come investigate is two weeks later. Their works leaks, and they aren't in a hurry to fix it. Roof isn't even 2 years old. Also they lie. I've been told the following trying to get their leak fixed: - Your roof is over 5 years old, we won't touch it (It's not, it's less than 2 years old, they did this work in 2024) - You have no chimney flashing and that's why its leaking - based on google earth photos, they didn't want to come out to see (I do have flashing, it was installed 2 years ago when the roof was redone) - The leak is coming from your bathroom vent (It's not, bathroom vent is lowest on the roof, water would have to travel up ~4' and to the left ~2' to come out the chimney) - Your chimney is crumbling and that's the problem (It's not, they said this to get me off the phone then never mentioned it again)
Trinity is always 'in my area' to send a pushy salesman with a ton of cologne and scratches all over his arms to my house to burn 20 minutes of both of our lives. I can't attest to their services, only their salespersons.
