TRUFENCE

TruFence is a Wakefield fence contractor whose reviewers keep circling back to one thing: how deep they dig the post holes. Jim — called Jimmy or James depending on the review — self-reports 20 years running the business, installing vinyl, wood, aluminum, chain-link and Trex composite fencing and gates for homeowners and businesses, with free on-site quotes and a stated service area running from Wakefield through Reading, Peabody, Lynnfield, Andover and several other North Shore towns. Across 14 Google reviews, all five stars and mostly from 2026, the recurring story is a crew that shows up on time, works fast, and doesn't leave a mess. Reviewers describe installs finished in a single day, quotes turned around quickly, and Jimmy staying reachable through the process. Multiple customers specifically noted the posts being set deeper than they'd seen from other companies — one reviewer, describing a chain-link fence installed four years earlier, said it still looked good; another watched the crew dig holes deeper than a previous contractor had, after that contractor's shallow holes left a fence wobbling in the wind. A number of reviewers are repeat customers: one had TruFence reinforce a 2022 chain-link fence with bottom rails after a new dog turned out to be an escape artist, another hired the crew a second time for a custom white vinyl privacy fence with metal spindles. One reviewer described TruFence coming out for free to fix a wobbly fence a different company had installed, then redoing an entire section with deeper post holes at no charge when a follow-up issue came up. There's no complaint, licensing flag, or negative mention anywhere in the record to weigh against that. Anyone considering TruFence should confirm upfront which fencing material and any gate work are covered in the quote, since the company works across several materials and a fairly wide service area.
