Wear around a kitchen island, and only there: a recent Google customer said Gene and his crew sanded just that patch of cherry floor and blended the color so it looks perfect again, sparing the whole open area. Turgeon's Hardwood Flooring describes itself as a local company with over 24 years of flooring experience that travels all over Vermont and upstate New York to job sites for commercial and residential customers. A recent customer who hired them for a second refinish said they came when scheduled and the house was spotless when they left. A recent customer said the whole house was done in 2-3 days before curing time, and that they also repaired a rotten floorboard and refinished butcher block counters. A 2025 customer said they installed maple hardwood flooring on the first and second floors and converted carpeted stairs into a maple hardwood staircase. A 2025 reviewer wrote that they evened out cupped floors and applied 3 coats of finish, taking all their trash with them at the end of the job. A 2023 customer said they switched from a water based to an oil based finish on the company's recommendation, and that afterward the dust needed just a regular dusting. A 2025 customer said a finish did not come out quite right and they stood by their work to make it right. A 2025 Google reviewer gave one star and wrote "Rude". Its BBB grade is A+, and BBB lists it as accredited.
This is the second time that we’ve had Turgeon’s refinish our floors in our house. both times they did an excellent job, they came when they were scheduled and the guys that actually did the flooring Were polite And very professional. My house was spotless when they left. I will certainly will have them come again if needed.
We are so grateful for the Turgeon crew! They brought out the beauty in the wood floors of our new-to-us home. They were super accommodating to our schedule and were friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable every step of the way! As Vermonters, we really love the opportunity to support local, family businesses and we truly felt as though Turgeon’s cared for our floors as if they were their own. Great team and we highly recommend! Thank you Gene, Brandy, Jon, Jordi and Kyle!
In this day and age I am shocked to have such a positive experience. Mine was a tricky job where there was wear on my cherry wood floor only around the kitchen island. I dreaded the thought of having to do the whole open area. But Gene and his crew were able to sand just that area and blend the color so it looks perfect again. And they were really nice too!
Had a great experience with Turgeons! They were responsive, well priced and did a wonderful job! My floors were worn and damaged and I am very happy with the results.
Just had my floors refinished by gene tourgeon and the group. They came out beautifully. The guys were courteous-covering the other rooms that they had to walk through. They came when they were expected and everything was left spotless. Can’t recommend them enough.
