Turner Carpentry & Remodeling LLC works both sides of the state line, and its two listings can't quite agree which side it lives on: Houzz gives an address on Sweet Hill Road in Plaistow, New Hampshire, while Porch puts the business in Haverhill, Massachusetts and names Ryan Turner as the owner. The territory is the same either way — Haverhill and Methuen, the North Andover and Georgetown belt, and south into Lynn. The company calls itself a locally owned remodeler doing high-end decks, kitchens, bathrooms and additions, and the three project galleries it has put up are in Lynn, Haverhill and Tewksbury. What it doesn't have is a current track record. Porch reports a 5.0 average from ten aggregated ratings, but only two written reviews are visible and both date from 2016, and the Houzz profile has yet to collect its first. Houzz also shows a Construction Supervisor entry and a license number for the company — that is Houzz's own claim, not something checked against a state registry. So: a plausible small carpentry-and-remodeling shop for Merrimack Valley decks and baths, on very little public evidence. Ask for references from the past year, and confirm the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration yourself before you sign anything.

Excellent experience with Turner Carpentry. Our porch was unstable after the heavy snows during the winter of 2015, and needed to be replaced in its entirety. I contacted Ryan after a friend referred him, and I'm glad I did: Very courteous, very professional, reasonably priced, and my new porch is beautiful. He began construction when he said he would, and the project was completed promptly. Excellent communication. As the owner of an older house, I am glad to know a carpenter like this- would definitely use again, would definitely recommend.

We contracted Turner Carpentry for work in our bathroom. From the very first interaction we were confident. Ryan was quick to respond and follow up on any and all communication, showed up and did exactly what he said he would do. It was a pleasure doing business with Ryan Turner and we will absolutely recommend him to our friends and will work with him on future projects. A big thank you to Turner Carpentry!
