Two Men and a Truck Moving is a moving company whose website lists local home moving, apartment and condo moves, piano moving, packing and business moving. The company says it has been in business for 40 years and names a service area that includes Cumberland, Attleboro, Cranston, Taunton, Pawtucket, Providence, Bristol and Woonsocket. On Google it holds a 4.4-star average from 267 ratings. A recent customer said the company worked carefully and efficiently to get everything transported. A recent Google reviewer called the move quick and painless and praised the price. Price is where one recent move fell apart. That customer said they were quoted $800 to $1,200, then handed a revised quote of $2,100 once the movers arrived, with word that more movers would have to come back Friday; the customer canceled and found another moving company, and said the manager offered no resolution or discount. A recent customer said two of the four men complained that they rely on tips, that items were dropped and kicked, and that the office said they owed more than they had actually paid, so they had to pull statements to show what they had paid.
Truly I wouldn’t recommend this Company to anyone that cares about their stuff and keeping their sanity when moving is already stressful two of the 4 men complained how they rely solely on tips and it was unprofessional and also dropped and kicked stuff when it fell my neighbors pulled me aside to let me know when I didn’t see. Also how we had men waiting for confirmation from the office because of technical difficulties stating I owed more than I actually did I had to pull statements to show how much I paid it was ridiculous didn’t even get an apology from the guy when I spoke to them about it. Also the GM which I was able to talk to 3.5 hours later which I would have taken a supervisor but he also wasn’t available, confirmed my suspicions on how much this is a scam from hidden fees to poor service
Thanks very much Two Men and a Truck! They handled a recent move and worked carefully and efficiently to get everything transported. The set up at the new place looked great, too.
Fantastic experience! They made our move quick and painless for a great price. Could not be more happy with the outcome of their work with our move!!
Huge price jump on move day and zero customer care! I used this company a few years ago and had a great experience, but this recent experience was a disaster. I was originally quoted between $800 and $1,200. When I spoke with the coordinator on the phone, I offered to call back with an exact inventory list. She explicitly told me that wasn't necessary and assured me the cost wouldn't exceed that initial estimate. The driver even called the morning of the move, took my full list of items, and said everything was good to go. Once the movers arrived, everything changed. They claimed the job would take much longer than expected and slapped me with a revised quote of $2,100—nearly double the high end of the original estimate. To make matters worse, they said they’d have to come back Friday with more movers, even though my move was scheduled for today. $2,100 is absurd for just a garage full of items and a single couch. Left with no choice, I canceled and had to scramble at the last minute to find another moving company. When I spoke to the manager, he gave me lip service about "sympathizing" with my situation, but offered zero resolutions or discounts. He didn't even seem to care that he was losing a returning customer. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
