United Roofing & Remodeling is a Hollis roofer that says it started out of a pickup truck about 15 years ago and grew into a company doing residential roofing and siding plus commercial asphalt, TPO/EPDM and metal roofs across southern New Hampshire — Nashua, Manchester, Hollis, Milford, Amherst, Hudson and Merrimack. It is owner-operated, and it lists itself as a Carlisle Syntec certified installer and a CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster; those are the company's own claims. The Nashua Telegraph noted in 2019 that it had taken over a 5,000-square-foot commercial space. Customers have written very little. Google shows five stars from two ratings, and the one written review, from July 2021, says simply "Excellent work." On the other side, BBB lists one complaint in the last three years, unresolved, in which a customer disputes the quality of a metal roofing and siding installation and the company disputes the customer's account. One public record to raise directly: OSHA's website lists an inspection of a United Roofing & Remodeling job site on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth that cited a violation of the low-slope roofing fall-protection standard — employees working six feet or more above lower levels were not adequately protected from falling. For a shingle or metal roof in the Nashua–Manchester corridor, ask for recent local references, get the warranty in writing, and ask how the BBB dispute and the OSHA fall-protection citation were resolved. New Hampshire does not register roofing contractors, so there is no state licence to check for this trade.
