I had a specific project that I was going to attempt myself, but I’m so glad I reached out to Jeremy. Professional and neighborly. Thanks again!
I recently had my brick fireplace refaced with stone, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The transformation is incredible – what was once a dated, plain brick fireplace is now a stunning focal point of the room. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and Jeremy paid great attention to detail. The texture and color of the stone adds depth and sophistication. The final result exceeded my expectations. He took great care to protect my furniture and surrounding areas, and the cleanup afterward was spotless. I highly recommend Jeremy for anyone looking to update their fireplace with stone.
My husband and I hired Jeremy to reface an old brick chimney on our house. Not only did the chimney need a cosmetic update, but it was the source of a bad leak during heavy rain. Our chimney is now leak free and looks better than our initial expectations. Jeremy is very skilled at his craft and artistic with his designs. He meticulously creates a design that works with the style of the home and takes customer service very seriously. We have no regrets in hiring Jeremy and would highly recommend him for any stone job. He transformed our old eye sore brick chimney into a stunning stone chimney that has added a ton of curb appeal to our home.
Jeremy is an incredible artisan who is dedicated to creating stone-crafted projects that are innovative and yet perfectly aligned with the natural environment. He is also a consummate professional. From the moment he met with me to discuss my project—what turned out to be very beautifully designed and crafted stone steps—he ensured that he was clear on my vision and then helped me move that vision beyond what I was able to consider. For instance, I was thinking of using stones that were a golden color to match my house, Jeremy helped me see that using local stone would be so much more in keeping with the environment in which my house is situated. Jeremy always provided me with updates on scheduling and budget, he checked in with me to be sure I was happy with where the project was going, he never talked down to me as a woman overseeing a construction project. He also has a wide range of skills that extend beyond stonecraft. For example, we ran into a problem with some rotted sills and rather than just moving forward with the masonry project, Jeremy took the time to explain the situation to me and he was able to repair the damage himself, saving me from having to hire another contractor to handle this project. Working with Jeremy has been one of the most successful and productive partnerships I have had during the several years that I have been restoring my home. Additionally, I now have very creative and beautifully crafted front steps that everyone comments on and that I know will substantially increase the value of my home. I give my highest recommendation to Jeremy/Unmistaken Stonecraft. Any project he undertakes will be done with the greatest attention to detail, the highest quality products, and total dedication to his craft. I look forward to continuing my creative partnership with Jeremy on future stone-crafted projects.
Jeremy is a true artist! He stayed true to his craft and my vision. Unique and one-of-a-kind stonework that we will enjoy for years to come. The quality of his work is unsurpassed and well worth the asking price!!
