Whole house generators, and the annual maintenance visits that follow, fill the reviews of Voltz Electric, a Guilford electrician whose site lists towns from Milford and New Haven to Madison and Clinton. In a September 2026 Google review, a customer whose entire block had no power and whose generator was not working said the crew arrived 15 minutes after a 7:00am call with everything needed in the truck. A September 2026 Google customer who had Voltz install their whole house generator said the company comes each year for annual maintenance and sends messages the day before, on the way and when the service is complete. In a 2024 Google review, a customer said the crew installed a stand-by generator and upgraded their service from 100 to 200amps, and came right back to fix a circuit that tripped during the upgrade. A January 2026 customer said Voltz did an electrical upgrade and ran power to an external sauna. An August 2026 Google customer said Riley found the loose wire that was probably behind their generator's code 2800 problems. In an October 2025 Google review, a customer said Voltz told them the Generac warranty would be void without its annual service, which Generac disputed, and later declined repair service without a maintenance contract. A 2023 Google customer felt the $350 annual maintenance fee they were quoted was too high and that they could have pulled the town permit themselves for less. A September 2026 Google customer said a small ring doorbell job took hours during a street-wide internet outage.
