It says it has been in business for 43 years, and its stated service area runs from East Hartford and Hartford out to Simsbury and Canton. A recent customer said the young men who came took many photos of the water-damaged areas, removed a hallway carpet damaged by seepage, and set flat fans and a humidifier on the floor to absorb the moisture. That customer said they also made recommendations about replacing the damaged carpet and tiles. For a water-damaged basement, a recent customer said the team was quick to respond, show up and have a plan, and called the work done in 24 hours impressive. In a 2025 review, a customer described a failed toilet tank seal that sent water through the bathroom, kitchen and basement; after a call around 7:30am, Eamon, a project manager, was at the house by 8:15, and the emergency remediation team arrived within a couple of hours. That 2025 customer said W&K stayed responsive through six weeks and three different insurance adjusters. A 2025 customer wrote that W&K came out after hours, stopped a leaking water heater, removed the water, dried the floors and cut out sheetrock to prevent mold. In a 2024 review, a customer said that after a house fire two days before Christmas, W&K Restoration employees were at the property the next morning, Christmas Eve, to assess the damage and plan next steps. A 2024 customer said project manager Emmond Carty took charge of a kitchen sewer backup, from resolving the backup to dismantling the kitchen and walls and coordinating cabinets, countertop, electrical, plumbing and finish work. A 2025 customer whose condo flooded was pleased with the restoration but said getting a contract negotiated between their insurance and W&K took a lot longer than hoped, and completion took another 4-5 days after signing. The young men who came to my house were very nice and quite thorough. Many photos were taken of the water damaged areas. They removed the carpet in my downstairs hallway that was damaged by the water seepage from outside. They placed flat fans on the floor in different areas and a humidifier to help absorb the moisture and water that came into my house. They gave me detailed steps about the restoration process and answered many of the questions that I had. They also made some recommendations about replacing the damaged carpet and tiles.
From the first phone this experience has been top notch!!! This team was quick to respond, show up and have a plan for water damaged basement. We had a frozen pipe that burst in our main bathroom that caused a massive amount of water damage. K&W came out and handled our mitigation. They were quick and very efficient on resolving the damage! They put me at ease on a very stressful situation. I will definitely use them in the future & would highly recommend this company!! Thanks again for all your help!! 😊
White and Katzman did a great job restoring my basement after I had a huge flood. It was a traumatic time as anyone that has had the experience will know. They swooped in and took over and I felt relieved and supported. They were very professional, respectful, and thorough. With their guidance, my basement looks better than it did before the flood. I was so impressed, I hired them to restore the rest of my home. They gave my home a total makeover and I couldn’t be happier with the service and the outcome. I highly recommend them and will continue to use their services.
A few months ago I had a water problem in my condo. W&K was able to assist after hours & assisted with removing! They were so pleasant to work with, responded quickly! I would highly recommend to anyone in a pinch!
