Walbridge Construction LLC

Michael Walbridge gave one homeowner an exact timeline and then followed it — a March 2026 reviewer described a sitting room turned into a formal walk-in closet with custom cabinetry, lights and replacement doors, and signed off "Couldn't be happier!!!" That is the shape of the work at this Hull company: one man doing the interior carpentry and remodeling jobs that live or die on the finish. Walbridge Construction is owner-operated by Michael Fairbairn-Walbridge, who the site says has more than 20 years of building experience, and it describes itself as veteran-owned and family-owned with coastal framing and flashing as its focus, alongside remodels, kitchens, baths, decks and ground-up new construction. The site also states a Therma-Tru certification and a service area of Hull, Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate, Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree, Norwell and Marshfield. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #218741, is active on the state registry. On Thumbtack the rating is 5.0 across 9 ratings, a distribution of 100% five-star. A July 2026 customer had four door frames and new doors installed along with two French-style closets and called the communication great; a May 2026 job put a new, larger window into a finished basement, on time and with the debris cleaned up and removed. In June 2026 a homeowner who compared quotes from several companies chose this one for the best price and the best grasp of the project, and a March 2026 reviewer said the answers came back in terms a homeowner could understand. Two things are worth settling on the call. Thumbtack lists the construction supervisor licence as covering one- and two-family dwellings, while the company's own site calls the licence unrestricted — ask which class applies to your project. And Thumbtack lists this as a one-person business, so ask how he schedules and staffs a job the size of yours. For door and window work, a room conversion with custom built-ins, or a South Shore remodel where the finish matters, Walbridge is a straightforward call. Get the dates in writing: two of the reviews here turn on a timeline that was given and then met.
