A 2022 customer who was nearly out of oil called Wardwell Oil to set up an account, ran out about an hour later, and said the company had a driver at their home within a few hours even though it was not on that day's route. Wardwell describes itself as supplying fuel products to homes and businesses in Coastal Maine and says it has been in business 66 years. Its stated service area runs from Blue Hill, Sedgwick and Deer Isle to Bucksport and Verona Island. It holds 4.2 stars from 11 Google ratings. A 2023 customer said a snafu with another company left them without propane, and the Wardwell office got them a tank and service in two days. A 2023 customer said Wardwell let them run out of oil two winters running, that running dry cost a lot in repairs, and that the company did not have any service people.
Good People and outstanding customer service and support.
Wardwell let us run out of oil last winter, and it cost a lot in repairs because of running dry. I spoke to them at the time and asked them to please change the system for our winter usage. This year the same thing happened. They do not have any service people, so if they let you run out, there is no guarantee that the boiler will start and work again. I would not work with Wardwell again, ever.
A snafu with another company left us with no propane but the office at Wardwell bent over backwards and got us a tank and service in Two days. Thank you!
A new, happy and grateful customer (and now a customer for life!) I called this morning to set up an account because I was dangerously close to being out of oil, and their price couldn't be beat. I ended up running out an hour or so later. Not only did they get my account set up, walk me through payment options (and treat me with the most respect and kindness of any business I've ever dealt with) they had a driver to my home within just a few hours, even though that wasn't their route today! Thank you Wardwell, for your kindness, compassion and promptness! My family is so grateful ❤️
