A 2018 Reddit commenter recommended Wayne's Tree Removal "for just chopping down". A local news site places the company in Windsor Locks. A 2025 customer said Wayne removed eight trees along with the stumps, arrived on time and finished when promised, and called the price great. A 2024 customer said the company removed 7 or so trees and all stumps in a timely manner. A 2021 customer said Wayne's quote was reasonable for seven large oak trees and stumps next to the house, and that his team did a good cleanup job. A 2022 customer said the crew showed up on time, raked everything up and stacked piles. A 2024 customer said he did half of a three-tree job, took most of the money, left the wood behind and dropped trees on ornamental trees and bushes, then did not return calls for three months. A 2023 customer said two workers came with the wrong equipment for a fallen tree, left the stump, and charged $25 more because the payment was a check rather than cash. A 2025 reviewer wrote that their father first reached out in 2019, had already paid, and went back and forth with the company for three years before asking for a refund in 2022; the refund was sent. According to nbcconnecticut.com, a man working for the company fell while on a job and died of his injuries. Speaking to newstimes.com, owner Wayne Allen said a tree a worker was on looked healthy but had dry rot inside, and called it a freak accident.

I've just had Wayne remove eight(8) trees along with the stumps. They arrived on time as promised and finished when promised. Great job and great price! I would encourage anyone to hire them for any of your tree service needs
I am leaving this review about 3 years post last dealing with this company. My father reached out in 2019 about business with this company and went back and forth for 3 years- yes you heard me. Paid money already for them to continuously ignore messages when deals were made previously. Finally in 2022 my dad finally asked for a refund because business still has not been dealt with while tree trunks were all hanging in our backyard. (One plus is that they sent the refund…) The messages between them were painful to read- my dad sending a reminder every 2 weeks about trees still in our years and them providing no response! With constant excuses, It was almost comical! While I don’t know if this business is still this ignorant, I was so shocked I had to leave this review. Make sure they get the job done if you pay them! ☺️
Hired him to take 3 trees down. Did half the job, took most of the money and left my front yard a complete mess. All the wood was left behind making my yard unusable, branches stuck 2-3 feet in my yard that I can’t pull out. They also carelessly dropped trees on ornamental smaller trees and bushes that are ruined. He left me with this mess 3 months ago and hasn’t returned any of my calls. Filed a complaint with the BBB.
We had a great experience with Wayne’s Tree removing 7 or so trees and all stumps. The work was completed in a timely manner and we will use them again.
Hired to remove a fallen tree, and stump, and broken branch. Came with 2 guys, wrong equipment for said job. They tossed what branches they couldn't sell for firewood off our bank, and left the stump (hello, no equipment!!!) Took a nice fallen oak, which he fir sure sold for firewood, Then over charged 25$ because we gave him a check and not cash?! Absolutely horrible and def not recommended.
