Webster Masonry is the chimney-and-stonework crew homeowners call when a failing chimney, crumbling steps, or a difficult masonry repair needs a practical fix. Its website says it handles residential and commercial masonry across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut; BBB lists 52 years in business and Mark Mahan as owner. The Massachusetts registry shows Webster Masonry LLC's home improvement contractor license as active. The recent run of customer accounts is unusually consistent. Eight Google reviews from May through August 2026 are five-star accounts describing chimney repairs, brick replacement, garage and back-step repairs, communication, quick scheduling, and cleanup. In one June review, a homeowner described a long-running fieldstone chimney leak that earlier contractors had not solved; another August review praised the team's willingness to work with gray chimney brick and leave the property clean. The older history is also substantial: 40 Google reviews spanning 2021–2026, with customers describing chimney rebuilds, stone stairs, paver walks, front-entry repairs, fireplaces, and brickwork. The work described is specific rather than generic. Homeowners mention chimney caps, mortar and slope repairs, sealing, brick replacement, fieldstone walls, granite stairs, paver walks, and air-stone wall work. Several reviews also mention prompt estimates, clear explanations, staying in communication, and reasonable pricing; one 2024 homeowner said an external chimney rebuild cost half of a larger regional quote. Webster Masonry is a strong fit for chimney repair and restoration, brick and stone masonry, and related steps or paving projects. Confirm the exact scope and current quote before booking, and treat the active Massachusetts registration as the registry-verified credential; directory license entries remain directory claims even when they repeat a number.
Our chimney had lost the top part of three bricks due to last year’s terrible winter. Mark and his brother replaced the bricks and applied a sealant on the entire chimney to prevent any further damage to our chimney. They did a great job! We will certainly recommend Webster Masonry to our neighbors if they ever need any masonry work.
Webster Masonry was very friendly, courteous, professional, and respectful of my property from start to finish. They did a fantastic job on my chimney and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Mark was especially great to work with. He was willing to work with the gray chimney bricks rather than the traditional red bricks, even though I know it was more time consuming. I truly appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to accommodate what I wanted. They also did an excellent job cleaning up the property when the work was completed—it was just as clean as when they arrived. I highly recommend Webster Masonry to anyone looking for quality workmanship and excellent customer service. They did a phenomenal job on my chimney and I’m extremely happy with the finished product!
Mark and Jason did a wonderful and thorough job. They were quick to respond, quick to schedule, communicated clearly and followed through on their work. They were able to quickly fix our garage and repair our back steps in a time crunch before we listed our house for sale. They really eased our anxiety, and I would highly recommend them for any job!
Made our vision come to life! This area was tough to dig out in some spots but Mark and Jason were super thorough and made sure everything was perfect. Wanted to have project done before an event we were hosting and Mark got it all done ahead of schedule! Exceeded expectations and would definitely recommend. While they were here, they also noticed a chip in our chimney and helped us seal it to prevent future damage and issues that may have occured.
We had a leak in our field stone chimney since we bought our house 12 years ago. Over the years we have had several contractors, roofers, other masons look at the chimney and try their solution. Having spent a lot of money trying possible solutions to suspected causes the leaks never went away. After getting a roof replacement due to the rotted wood from years of water, the leaks continued and I was determined to get the chimney fixed right. Thankfully Mark carefully inspected the mortar, found all the cracks and told me with confidence that grinding out the affected areas and replacing the mortar should stop the leaking. And it did! After a few heavy rainstorms I confirmed the inside was dry. Thank you Mark for your excellent expertise!
