Westmore Fuel is a heating-oil company that also sends technicians out when a boiler or furnace quits. A recent Google customer wrote that a technician they named as Mario/Reuben kept the appointment on time and explained the process to re-activate the boiler, where water mixing with fuel oil had clogged the strainer. The company says it has been in business 88 years, and its website lists a service area of twelve towns including Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and New Canaan. A 2025 customer wrote that Westmore had been delivering their oil and that Mario explained everything during a boiler tune-up. A 2026 customer said that on a frigid day Michael was at the door in under an hour and solved a boiler problem within 30 minutes. A 2023 customer said Mario was at the house within 30 minutes when the system failed heading into a holiday weekend, and came up with a temporary fix to get the furnace running until a part arrived. A 2025 customer on automatic delivery said the company failed to deliver in time and the tanks ran dry; a technician came two hours later with 15 gallons to get them through until a truck filled the tanks the next day. A 2025 reviewer said two techs checking the boiler brought no drop cloths and left soot on the basement carpets, walls and floors. A 2023 customer objected to an extra 30 minutes billed as a travel fee. A 2022 customer said the oil was billed at a higher rate than the contract price a sales rep had quoted.
