Top Tier Energy Service delivers heating oil and propane and works on heating and air-conditioning systems; the company says it helps Fairfield County homeowners with automatic heating oil and propane delivery, smart tank monitoring and service plans. A recent customer who ran out of heating oil on Christmas Eve, the first winter in an older house, wrote that they reached Mike directly and he found someone to deliver within 3 hours. A 2026 customer who ordered oil delivery online said the delivery was faster than expected. A 2025 customer whose home uses propane for cooking, heat and hot water said Top Tier installed a monitor on the tank and made sure it got filled. A 2022 customer wrote that Mike came for annual maintenance on their oil burner, found it and the companion hot water tank in a dangerous condition, and that the team spent 10 hours the next day installing the two replacements. The heating and cooling side is busy. A recent customer whose boiler failed on a Friday said Top Tier had replaced it by Saturday and that the job was clean and quiet. A recent customer whose furnace failed on a Friday night, with a snow storm expected, said the company stayed late and completed the replacement before the storm. A recent customer said CJ and Volodymer installed a new air conditioning system of two units, a 4 and a 5 ton system. Billing and follow-through are where things went wrong. A recent customer said they were charged twice for the same service and only a small portion was credited back, and that the permit for replacing their oil burner/furnace was filed after the work had been performed; that customer said the technicians, CJ and Voladymir, were nice and professional. A recent customer said a tech who checked their system could not find the issue and recommended refrigerant, and called the company dishonest. A 2025 customer said promised deliveries never showed after multiple phone calls and that they moved to another company. A 2024 reviewer said Mike missed four scheduled appointments, and a 2023 reviewer said the company came for an HVAC estimate but never sent it and did not return calls or texts.

**As of October 1, 2026:** PLEASE BEWARE I am very disappointed with my experience with this heating company. We were charged twice for the same service. After bringing the duplicate charge to the company's attention, only a small portion of the money was credited back. Because the issue was not fully resolved, we filed a dispute/chargeback with our bank. After we filed the chargeback, the owner, Mike, told us: **“You filed a charge back. Let your bank deal with it. That’s how my communication will be.”** There was also an issue with the permit for the replacement of our oil burner/furnace. The permit was filed after the replacement work had already been performed. I had to personally follow up with Top Tier Tier Energy Service owner Mike regarding the permit, and after I pursued the matter, they filed the permit. I do want to make it clear that the technicians, **CJ and Voladymir, were very nice, professional, and did their best** during the work. My concerns are with the billing, permitting, and subsequent communication with the company—not with the technicians who performed the work. Because of these issues, we will be filing a complaint with the appropriate consumer-protection agency and providing our supporting documentation. We will also seek legal advice and pursue any legal remedies available to us. As of October 1, 2026, these issues remain unresolved. This has been a very frustrating experience. I recommend that customers carefully review their invoices, payment records, communications, and permit information and keep copies of all documentation. We do not recommend Top Tier Energy Service- Ridgefield.

great prices and very nice workers will use top tier again
TopTier once again provided excellent service in replacing my entire AC system. My units possibly had a power surge which had shorted my compressors. Mike & team were quick to diagnose the issue and recommend the best course of action. TopTier replaced my entire AC systems promptly and provided professional service. I would recommend you call them today for any of your HVAC servicing needs.
I don't usually leave reviews, but Top Tier Energy Service definitely deserves one. From the first phone call, everyone was friendly, honest, and easy to work with. They showed up when they said they would, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel pressured into anything I didn't need. It's hard to find companies these days that are this reliable. Being a single mom I've realized with situations like this companys can easily take advantage of the desperation of a mom trying to keep her kids cool. I'm so greatful Top Tier isn't like that. The whole job was done professionally, and you can tell they actually care about doing quality work and treating their customers right. The pricing was fair, the communication was great, and the service exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a company you can trust, I highly recommend Top Tier Energy Service. I'll definitely be using them again and recommending them to friends and family.
