Wheeler Stump Grinding

Jim Wheeler says on the company website that he founded Wheeler Stump Grinding in 2004, that his stump grinding starts at $49.99, and that he offers a multi-stump and senior citizen discount. On Angi, the company describes itself as a full tree service that takes down trees, trims and removes stumps. A 2026 customer said Jim's price was the best of the four quotes they got, and that the highest quote was 3.5 times what Jim quoted. A 2025 customer said they called Mr. Wheeler on a Monday and he had the job done on Tuesday, and that he was careful of the surrounding property and cleaned up the surrounding area. A 2024 customer said Jim arrived on time and finished 5 difficult stumps with zero drama. A 2023 customer said Jim was responsive Friday at 5:30 pm and came out at 8 am that Saturday. In 2016, a customer wrote that he also did handyman projects for them, such as replacing skirting and power washing. A 2018 customer said he ground up 2 large tree stumps and thick, long roots, but the clippings and chips were not removed. That customer later wrote that a landscaper decided more root should have been removed, that the stone company they hired ended up removing both stumps, and that the price was too expensive for the work done.
