Rob Pepin shows up at the house — reviewer after reviewer at Windows by Toll mentions the owner stopping by the job. The Stamford company replaces windows and doors in lower Fairfield County and into Westchester, and holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0650477, under Windows by Toll. Its BBB grade is A+, and a CT Insider article describes Pepin as the owner of the window and door installation company, saying noise-reducing glass is a common request from his customers. The recent work is large and old-house. In a September 2026 review, a homeowner said the company replaced all the casement windows in their 100-year-old Tudor in Westchester, with Rob on the project each day and the installation under warranty. In an April 2026 review, a customer who took more than six quotes for new front and back doors said the installers sectioned off the work areas to keep dust out of the house. A February 2026 reviewer who had windows badly installed by another contractor said Rob took over the case personally, and the crew custom-fabricated aluminum trim on site. Older reviews fill in the same picture. In a January 2026 review, a homeowner said eleven windows were ripped out and replaced and it barely looked like the crew had been there. A 2024 customer described Marvin replacement windows installed with lead-safe practices because the old windows had lead paint. Repeat customers appear too: a 2022 reviewer had hired the company three times to replace condominium windows and said it helped resolve issues with their condo board. On Reddit, local commenters in 2025 and 2026 recommended the company, one saying it replaced all their windows and another citing reasonable prices. A Consumer Reports writer described a rep who did not push a hard sell. The one complaint is a September 2025 1-star Google review citing lack of communication, over-promising, and serious delays in delivery and installation. It holds 4.8 stars from 92 Google ratings and 4.9 from 27 on Angi and HomeAdvisor.
