One Middleboro household has been going back to the same kitchen company for more than twenty years. "Wood Palace Kitchens is the only place to go," they wrote in a 2025 review, describing every remodel they had done to their house since — sales people, installers and service manager all named as the reason. That kind of repeat business is what a 46-year-old showroom trades on. The company says Tim Holick began building cabinets and countertops in his garage in 1979; today it operates from 7 Mill Street with eight employees, an A+ BBB rating and accreditation going back to January 1993. It also bought Cornerstone Granite & Marble in 2009, the countertop fabricator it had been working alongside, according to a 2011 South Coast Today report. The work is cabinetry and kitchen design first: custom cabinets, countertops, vanities, built-ins and home offices, priced by Houzz at a typical $12,000 to $150,000 and sold across roughly forty towns from Brockton down to Wareham. Reviewers keep naming individual designers rather than the company — Aimee in a February 2026 review and again in 2023, Tim in a 2023 one, Mike Holick in a 2015 Houzz review about squeezing usable space out of small rooms. The showroom itself shows up repeatedly: a 2024 customer had visited four kitchen places before this one, doing a renovation down to the studs, and stayed because of how the first visit went. Google shows 4.9 across 27 ratings; Houzz shows 5.0 across four. Two things belong in the same breath as that record. First, the Massachusetts registry shows the company's home improvement contractor registration, #164766, as expired since November 2020 — worth asking about directly, since this is a company whose own installers do the fitting. Second, read the review list carefully: some of the warmest entries are not from homeowners at all. A 2026 five-star review is from Old Colony Habitat for Humanity thanking the company for donating to a build; a 2016 Houzz review is written from a twenty-five-year "professional association"; a 2015 one is from a Century 21 agent who has worked with them on a dozen projects. Good signs about the business, but not accounts of hiring them for your own kitchen. This is the established-showroom option for the South Shore and South Coast: long history, deep design bench, cabinetry and countertops under one roof. Settle the registration question and ask which designer you would actually be working with before you commit.
“In an economy that has caused many companies to downsize, Wood Palace Kitchens is expanding. Its current location at 7 Mill St., Middleboro is simply not big enough to contain the company that has been netting close to $7 million for each of the past five years.”
“Cornerstone was acquired by Wood Palace in 2009 and continued to operate from its Raynham location. The company, founded in 1985, makes and installs natural stone and man-made stone countertops.”
“In 1976, Tim Holick, a skilled craftsman, began constructing countertops and cabinets for friends and family inside his garage. Soon after, Wood Palace Kitch ens was formed.”
Five stars and beyond for Wood Palace Kitchens! Old Colony Habitat for Humanity has been fortunate to partner with Wood Palace Kitchens during our Franklin build. Their generosity has made a tremendous impact on this project. They have gone above and beyond! Wood Palace Kitchens has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We couldn't be more appreciative. Great customer service and product quality!!!!
Wood Palace Kitchens is the only place to go. We have used them for the past 20+ years any time we have done a remodel to our house. They are so professional and everything comes out better than I could have imagined. From the sales people to the installers to the service manager they are all so professional and great people to deal with. They stand behind their work. The cabinet door in my MB the hinge gave way after 21 years. I open and close this door multiple times a day. The cabinet itself still looks like new. Ray Vargas the service manager came right out to our house was able fix the cracked piece, went back to the showroom, found another hinge that matched the old one and fixed it like new!! We are so grateful we went to Wood Palace Kitchens 20+ years ago, we would highly recommend them.
I went to 4 kitchen places (doing a total renovation-demolishing down to the studs) before I finally found The Wood Palace. It was worth having kept on searching for the right place, and the right person for me to work with. From the minute I walked into the Wood Palace, I felt like I was walking into someone's home, where they just happened to have a kitchen showroom. Soft gentle music playing in the background, fresh baked goods on the center island, would I like coffee or water, please make your self comfortable, I'll be right with you. Aimee was friendly and warm, and obviously knew her trade well. The showroom was amazing, like no other I'd ever been in. She came out to my house and it didn't take long for her to understand how I wanted the kitchen to look. Her creative, as well as practical ideas, were spot on with my vision. Sometimes I threw an idea out, and she would gently give me options as to why she thought this or that might work better to suit my needs and accomplish what I was looking for. She was always correct. She never forgot anything I told her, and that's why it was such an effortless project. She listened, and even though I didn't know precisely what I wanted, I knew the feeling I wanted to create. She got it. She understood. She never tried to foist her vision of what the kitchen should be, but worked with me and created the most beautiful space, in every way, down to every last detail (she's very detailed oriented) Her patience kept coming through; she knew I needed to be 100% sure of every aspect of the new layout. Her computer color graphic-print outs were realistic and beautiful, so I could more easily visualize the space she was creating for me. We accomplished so much at every meeting we had at her showroom, and I went home smiling, with a set of brand new print outs she'd give me, every time we made even a slight change. It didn't take long before she'd created the space I had literally imagined in my mind's eye. Perhaps even more so. She knew the feeling I wanted the kitchen to have when you walked into it. And she nailed it. It was so much fun working with her. She even helped me with ideas for setting up my temporary kitchen in other areas in my house. She was always there for me, just a text or phone call away, even on the weekends or vacation! and always responded with the calm, kind, patience and reassurance that makes her such a great person to work with. She made the renovation seem easy, because it was. It was effortless and fun. Thank you, Aimee, for everything.
