The thing customers of WR Heating Cooling & Electrical write about most is the job Wilmer Rodriguez talked them out of. In a June 2018 review a homeowner told he needed a new unit by everyone else said Wilmer checked the eleven-year-old system, told him it had about three more years in it, then explained the Mass Save rebate he could claim later and looked at the heating unit for free. Another June 2018 customer described the same pattern in a hot attic: problem found and fixed in forty minutes, and the outdoor unit pronounced old but solid, 'a pleasant contrast to the previous guy who tried to convince us to change it'. In a July 2020 review a customer who had been quoted around $8,000 for a new central air system by another firm said Wilmer fixed the existing one in a few hours. The company works out of 64 Victoria Street in Revere and says it has twelve years of experience and that se habla espanol. It covers both trades in its name — electrical wiring and panel upgrades, electrical work for home additions and remodels, and heat pump installation and replacement alongside A/C and heating service. Both Angi and HomeAdvisor, which carry the same listing, show 4.9 from 27 ratings, 93% of them five stars. The biggest job in the record is recent: in June 2025 a customer paid $12,800 to have an old oil boiler replaced with a gas one, and wrote that Wilmer gave the best quote of several, walked him through the setup before he committed, finished in the three days promised, and that the crew arrived on time and cleaned up. Earlier accounts are smaller but consistent — a capacitor and switch stack replaced from parts carried on the truck in about an hour in September 2015, a raccoon-chewed outdoor wire found and rewired in an August 2023 review, a follow-up call a few days after a July 2016 repair to check all was well. Two practical things to know. The listing states the company does not offer emergency service and keeps weekday hours of 8am to 5pm, closed weekends, so a Sunday breakdown is not what it is set up for. And the trade licence it shows, number 23780 expiring 07/31/2028, is self-reported on the directory rather than confirmed against the state registry — worth checking yourself before electrical or gas work. For a Revere-area homeowner who wants an honest read on whether an aging system needs repairing or replacing, this is a strong call. Ask for the quote in writing, and confirm the licence covers the specific work.
Wilmer was absolutely stellar in his project to replace my old oil boiler with a a gas one. I shopped around heavily and Wilmer provided me the best quote and walked me through my setup to help me understand it before I ever committed to giving him the job. He was incredibly friendly, honest and knowledgeable. He provided communication throughout the project and was quick to get back to me on any questions I had. The work got done in 3 days as he promised. His team showed up on time, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. The quality of the work is top notch. I am a very happy customer and would absolutely love to do business with WR again.
The first time I had Wilmer over was to inspect and perform my yearly maintenance. He was very informative and helped me to understand how the whole process actually worked. His prices and professional manner we're more than acceptable. A few years later my AC would not turn on. And I looked to see if there is any fuses inside the house that may have been blown to cause this. I could find none. I called Wilmer and when he came over not only did he do an overview of the functionality of the components of my inside HVAC system, to see if that might have been the problem, but he also checked it from the outside. That is when he noticed that a raccoon had chewed through some of the outside wires in an attempt to get into my attic. Wilmer replaced and tested the new wiring thus fixing the issue,. Again, his prices and professional manner we're more than acceptable. And I had a cool house later that afternoon
What makes Wilmer so special is? He is an honest person. Additionally he has more knowledge in the AC and appliance and electrical field then any person in the business. Call him you will not be disappointed and you will be treated, right?
I was having problems with my central air and when I contacted Wilmer he came out right away and fixed the problem. 128 plumbing and heating previously told me I need a new central air system which would cost around $8,000. Wilmer fixed the problem in a few hours and ended up not needing a new system and was so much more reasonable with pricing. I would recommend him to anyone. He now has all my business.
Great guy. Works fast. Pricing fair. Honest and sincere. Great advice from him. Would use him again for sure.
