Across HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack and Google, what customers of 4 Daughters Landscape & Tree Service describe most often is removals — a 60-foot maple shedding limbs, in a February 2025 account; two pines, one hit by lightning and leaning toward a house, described in 2022; a tree tight against a carport that a bad drop would have damaged, this March.
The company works out of 31 Rock Avenue in Lynn, and the owner turns up by name in review after review — Noé, sometimes written "Neo", often alongside Fernando. Its HomeAdvisor page sits at 4.9 from 92 reviews with an Angi "Approved" badge; Thumbtack shows 4.8 from 76; Google, on a much smaller count, 4.7 from 14.
Two threads run through the praise. The first is the gap between quote and work: a customer this April said the cleanup and mulching started the day of the quote, and in a June 2023 review a homeowner met Noé in the morning and had a yard scraped, loamed and sodded by that afternoon. The second is what the crew leaves behind — a September 2023 customer counted zero wood chips anywhere on their property or the neighbors', and a 2022 reviewer had a huge maple halved, a pine down and trimming finished by three o'clock with the cleanup done.
There is a steadier side to the business as well. A customer writing this June has them weekly for mowing, plus spring and fall cleanups, flower beds, mulch and snow removal in winter, and calls the pricing competitive.
Before they start, settle property lines. A Google reviewer in July said the crew, hired by a neighbor, climbed a tree on their land and took down 7-to-8-inch branches without asking, cutting the privacy out of their yard, and that they had to come outside and stop the work themselves. That is the sharpest complaint here and the most recent, so it is worth agreeing in advance exactly which trees and whose ground are in scope. Separately, a 2022 HomeAdvisor customer said a promised written contract never arrived, and that hauling away the debris from stump grinding turned into an extra charge before the company came back and finished the job.
One oddity worth knowing: the HomeAdvisor profile still lists mctreeservicesandlandscapingma.com as the website, and its pre-2024 reviews name the pro "MC Tree Service" or "MC Landscaping" — the same account, apparently, carried over from an earlier brand.
For a big removal or an overgrown property that needs resetting, this is a crew with five years of written history doing that work. Put the scope in writing first: which trees, whose property, and whether debris and stump grindings are included in the price.
