A and G Association is a North Reading, Massachusetts general contractor whose reviews cluster around one job type above all: the basement gut-and-rebuild. Homeowners describe full remodels -- new ceilings and walls, relocated plumbing, new electrical, a rebuilt bathroom with tile and even a jacuzzi -- coming in on schedule and on budget, with credit going to founder Jonathan and his wife Eddelyn Gonzalez, whom BuildZoom names as the registered owner. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (license 201091) is active, verified against the state registry. The written record runs deep -- 25 reviews across Google and Angi from 2020 through mid-2026, most of them five stars, and the specifics repeat: attic finishes with new floors, drywall and electrical; a kitchen renovation praised for close attention to detail; ice-dam roof damage repaired and left "better than before"; even a concrete boat ramp built to spec, with rebar spacing and slab thickness worked out ahead of pouring. The last six months keep the same tone -- responsive, communicative, no negatives. The one clear miss: a 2022 Angi review describes A&G abandoning a sheetrock job after four weeks -- about 60% of the walls done, with holes and cracked seams, the ceiling never hung, and a text at 11pm the night before the next scheduled day saying they would not finish. It is the only 1-star review on file, and it is also the one review the company left off its own website, even though it republishes eight of its other Angi reviews as testimonials verbatim. Worth asking about before signing: the website's homepage claims "over two decades of experience," which does not square with the company's own about page ("since 2018") or its 8-years-in-business self-report -- pin down how long they have actually been operating. Angi also files this profile at a Haverhill address rather than the North Reading one on the license and the company's own site, though the reviews and owner names line up, so it looks like a stale listing rather than a different business. For a basement or attic remodel, the reviews point to a crew that plans the work out and finishes on budget -- just get a firm written timeline, given the one review where that broke down.
we got ice dams this year that really banged up our house. A and G came in and repaired the damage and made it better than before. they were professional through the whole process. everything was communicated clearly and quickly and the quality of the work was great. highly recommend using these guys.
I had an excellent experience working with A and G Association INC for my kitchen renovation. From start to finish, their team was professional, organized, and highly skilled. They paid close attention to every detail and delivered high-quality workmanship. The project was completed on time, and the results exceeded my expectations. My kitchen looks amazing, and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for high-quality remodeling work. I would definitely work with them again in the future.
good work 🙌🏽
Great experience with A&G Association. Concrete boat ramp was built satisfactorily, on schedule, and on budget. Flattened ground had gravel laid down. Rebar was installed with proper spacing to enhance the stability of the concrete. Slab thickness was determined based on boat weight. A wooden form was constructed using the determined slope of the ramp. The concrete surface has quarter inch deep groves allowing for good traction. Local regulations were followed by the workers. Workers showed up on time and were polite and friendly. Couldn’t ask for a better outcome.
