A&M Home Improvement Inc

Two painters had already given up on the peeling clapboards before Adolfo got the call. Writing in 2022, the homeowner described A&M taking on the prep work almost nobody is willing to do any more — and that kind of job, the one that is mostly preparation before any finish coat goes on, is what people keep hiring this Lynn crew for. A&M Home Improvement is Adolfo's company. The same few names — Adolfo, Aldo, "his guys" — run through every customer account, and the website, which trades as AM Pro Builders, says the company has ten years behind it working in and around Lynn. One customer writing in 2021 said he had already been using Adolfo for six years by then. Bathrooms and exterior work fill most of the reviews. In June 2025, a family needing a bathroom made wheelchair-accessible on short notice had it finished five days ahead of schedule, with Adolfo checking in on design decisions as the work went. Bathroom jobs going back to 2021 describe the same thing at a bigger scale — one taken down to the studs, another turned from dated to modern — and in 2020 a customer had a roof, painting and a bathroom done by the same crew. On the outside, the work is usually paint plus whatever the paint uncovers. A 2024 customer described the old coats scraped back to bare wood and the damage repaired before anything was painted; a 2023 homeowner had rotten trim found and replaced along with an exterior basement door the rot had reached. Carpentry runs alongside it: a back porch and stairs rebuilt in 2023, a storm door hung in 2024, dining-room windows swapped for a French slider with a small patio and steps built off the back in 2021. Two reviewers in 2021 and 2022 wrote about roofs, and several people have come back for a second and third project. One thing to settle before you sign anything: the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 211729, shows as expired on the state registry, so ask whether it has been renewed. It is also worth knowing how concentrated the written history is — the bulk of it was written between 2020 and 2022, with the newest account from June 2025. For a bathroom gut, an exterior repaint that needs real prep first, or the carpentry repairs that turn up mid-project, Adolfo is the kind of contractor customers describe coming back to.
