⭐️ Very Disappointing Experience — Buyer Beware I scheduled this company to come to my home for a routine annual flushing and maintenance of my tankless water heater. My unit is only two years old, and I expected the technician to simply perform the service I had requested. Instead, the visit quickly turned into a sales pitch for a service contract costing $1,000 or more. I was also told that the technician supposedly found a rag inside my tankless water heater and that the unit was leaking. These claims were extremely concerning to me, and I strongly questioned the accuracy of what I was being told. What was supposed to be a straightforward maintenance appointment left me feeling like the company was trying to create a sense of urgency and pressure me into purchasing expensive additional services. I understand that technicians may identify legitimate problems and recommend repairs, but customers deserve honesty, transparency, and proof of any issues, especially when significant amounts of money are involved. This experience completely changed my perception of the company. I would not recommend them based on this experience. If you use this company, I strongly recommend asking for documentation, pictures, and a detailed explanation of any alleged problems before agreeing to repairs or expensive service contracts. Get a second opinion if something doesn’t sound right. Very disappointing experience, especially for what should have been a simple yearly maintenance visit. Buyer beware. Reply from your incorrect review response: ⚠️ VERY DISAPPOINTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE — BEWARE OF THE SALES TACTICS Your company contacted me asking if I needed services for my home. I specifically asked a simple question: Do you perform flushing services for tankless water/heating systems? I was told yes, and your company scheduled an appointment to come to my home and perform the service I requested. What happened instead? The technician did NOT perform the flushing service. Rather than doing the job I scheduled, the focus quickly became trying to sell me an expensive service contract costing $1,000 or more. I did not call your company to purchase a contract. I called because I needed a specific service performed. This is especially frustrating because this is NOT the first serious problem I have had with your company. Your company previously performed a gas-line installation at my home. Check your own records. After that work was completed, we discovered a gas leak and had to evacuate our home until your company sent a technician back to address the problem. I gave your company the benefit of the doubt and chose not to hold that experience against you. But after this latest appointment, I have to question how your company does business. If a customer schedules and pays for a specific service, DO THE SERVICE. Don’t show up and turn the appointment into a high-pressure sales pitch for an expensive contract the customer never requested. I find this behavior extremely dishonest and disrespectful to customers. Not everyone knows the ins and outs of plumbing and HVAC systems, and trying to use that lack of knowledge to sell unnecessary contracts is unacceptable. I am not going to be pressured into staying quiet or pretending this was okay. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and the service they actually requested. Based on my experiences, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get everything in writing, understand exactly what service you are paying for, and be very careful about additional contracts or services being pushed during an appointment. You lost my trust and, unfortunately, my future business. Do the job customers hire you to do instead of trying to turn every service call into a sales opportunity. Extremely disappointed. I will be sharing my experience so other homeowners can make an informed decision.
Reasonable pricing for an emergency call, and a knowledgeable and helpful technician reported to us. Office staff were similarly helpful and patient, and I’d recommend A-Team to anyone in need of plumbing or sewer repairs!
