Two very different plumbers show up in A1 Plumbing's reviews, and which one you meet seems to hinge on how the first phone call goes. The first is the one a homeowner found in December 2020 after five days of calling around: Scott answered the same day, came the next morning, fixed the leak under the kitchen faucet in about a minute, and didn't charge for the time. In August 2023 another customer called about a water leak that turned out to be a heating problem — not his trade — and he helped shut it off, then handed over the name of someone who could finish it. A 2019 reviewer woke at 6am to a dead water heater and had Scott at the house by 9. Speed and blunt honesty run through the positive reviews. The second is the man several customers describe losing patience with them. In July 2018 a reviewer said he yelled at her for buying a faucet he wouldn't install — Delta or nothing. A November 2019 two-star put it flatly: good at what he does, decent prices, difficult personality. A November 2020 customer called him rude and said he won't make phone calls. And in January 2019, one reviewer went past manner to the work itself, arguing he applies stopgap fixes rather than proper repairs and leaves the homeowner to source parts. Price lands on both sides. Several reviewers call him reasonable; a June 2021 one-star objected to $300 to swap a kitchen faucet. The timing is the part worth weighing. Every negative account is four years old or older, and everything written since — cast-iron radiator valve repairs by Bob and Ethan in May 2022, a same-week garbage disposal replacement in August 2024, repeated notes about calls returned inside a day — is positive. The Google page sits at 4.3 across 26 ratings. Written accounts run 2017 to 2024, so the most recent stretch is quiet either way. This is a fit for a fast, no-frills repair — a leak, a disposal, a water heater — if you want someone who'll say plainly what he will and won't take on. Settle two things before he starts: which fixtures and brands he'll install and who is buying the parts, and the price for the job in front of you.
Had a leak coming from my garbage disposal. After getting on a call with Scott - he said he'd be able to swing by next day to take care of the issue. He ended up replacing the broken garbage disposal with a new one. Scott was extremely efficient - once he arrived, he got straight to work and was done within 20-30 minutes. Scott was professional and courteous. If I ever have any plumbing needs in the future, Scott will be the first person I will reach out to. 100% recommend!
I had a water leak and I called Scott. He was super responsive and even though it ended up being related to the heating system, which he doesn't work on, he help me shut it off so that the leak would stop and he gave me a contact for someone who could help me. Did it all over FaceTime he was incredibly nice.
I've only had great experiences with Scott Moore Plumbing. He returns phone calls within 24 hrs or less and shows up within the time frame he alotted for the services.
Have leaned on Scott for a few years now, both for emergencies and for routine plumbing jobs. He always responds quickly to any requests, and does fantastic work. Would recommend him highly.
Bob and Ethan arrived on time and did a great job repairing the cast iron radiators, especially replacing rusting valves. Recommended!
