ABC Moving & Storage

We had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. While we packed our own boxes, we were specifically told that the movers would properly pack and protect our TV. Instead, it was simply wrapped in furniture blankets, which was not what we expected for such an expensive item. The TV base was also removed by the destination crew, but there was little communication about how it would be handled. One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of transparency. We were never told upfront that our belongings would sit in a warehouse for several days in extreme summer heat. Had we known this, we would have made different decisions about what we shipped. The delivery timeline was also extremely misleading. We were told multiple times that our belongings were “95% sure” to arrive on schedule, so we planned around those assurances. Instead, our shipment didn’t arrive until two weeks later, forcing us to live without our belongings far longer than expected. The lack of clear communication and realistic expectations made an already stressful move much more difficult. If the company had been upfront about potential delays and storage conditions, we could have planned accordingly. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company.

Carl and his team were prompt, polite, and professional. They packed up our entire house, garage, and sheds in 8 hours. Stored our belongings for a couple days and then unloaded it all into our new home in 6 hours. Moving is a chaotic process but this team took some of the stress off our shoulders.

I’d like to take a moment to thank Carl Aftosmes, from ABC Moving and Storage Co. for taking such good care of my clients. On the last move from Berkley, MA his guys handled everything on the front end, which include included packing and storing an entire household and then on the back-end, unloading that entire household into the new household. Now doesn’t that sound like alot of work? That’s because it is!!! I’ve often hesitated in the past to recommend a mover simply because I personally have had a few bad experiences in the past. Maybe I shouldn’t say bad experiences, more like “not very satisfied with the service” type experiences. That is no longer the case as Carl is SUPER detailed and SUPER organized. I know this because Carl happens to be one of my clients. So as I worked for HIM, I realized that he is more organized than ME. The guys that work for him are very polite, very professional and work as a team to get everything done in an organized in efficient manner. Just a great operation from top to bottom. Move with anyone else - I would wish ABC on my worst enemy. $11k to go from NH to CO resulted in half of our possessions being scratch, dented, broken or destroyed. Take a look at the photos of the incoming van of our boxes, thrown in the pile, with furniture they wrapped making holes in the floor from being dropped. My wife was devastated, and never in our wildest dreams thought a moving company would treat anyone's boxes so carelessly. Prior to arrival, it took weeks to get them to answer calls and emails, and our stuff arrived weeks late. We filed a claim with the mover but never heard anything. Don't trust this cowboy outfit with your possessions - this was the worst moving experience I've ever had in my life. See the Yelp entry for this company for more.
