AC Power Solutions Inc.

AC Power Solutions is a Berkley, Massachusetts electrician founded in 2022 by Doug Carlson and Jason (Jay) Almeida after the company they'd previously worked for was bought out, according to their own site. The two now run a licensed electrical shop and authorized Generac generator dealer, handling everything from standby generator installs to panel upgrades, EV chargers, and general household wiring. A recent review calls the crew 'A plus' from the first call through a clean, professional generator install. That matches what customers described in reviews from late 2025 into early 2026: Doug and Jay walking them through quotes, gas piping, an electrical panel upgrade, permitting, and the final inspection for a new Generac standby unit, then coming back afterward for yearly maintenance. In a March 2025 review, one customer said a different company had spent two days throwing parts at a backfiring generator with no real progress before AC Power diagnosed the actual problem; in a May 2025 review, another reported their new unit running a year in with no issues. The same crew shows up in general electrical work too. In a 2025 review, a customer who'd hired them as a kitchen-renovation subcontractor said they found and fixed a missing electrical box in a bathroom, then hired them again for a broader electrical update. Other 2025 reviews describe wiring a new above-ground pool, restoring power after wind pulled down a service line during a holiday storm, and adding overhead lighting during a home update. Across two dozen reviews spanning 2024 into 2026, the same details keep coming up: on-time arrivals, a blanket put down to protect the work area, and quotes that beat competitors' — one 2025 review put theirs 10 to 20 percent below two other estimates. The lone less-than-perfect account, also from 2025, was still positive about the crew and the installation itself, and only flagged that the town's final inspection took longer than expected. The Massachusetts electrician license backing the business (#8620) is active and registry-verified. For a generator install, an EV charger, or a straightforward electrical fix in the Berkley area, this is a small, licensed crew with a deep and consistent history behind it.
