Accurate Fence is a small fencing crew out of East Falmouth that Cape homeowners call for a new vinyl, wood, or chain-link fence — plus the occasional pergola or outdoor shower enclosure built alongside it. The company says it has been doing this on the Cape for 20 years, covering Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne, Sandwich and Barnstable. Chris — the name that shows up in nearly every review, good and bad — runs the crew and does the quoting himself. Pricing comes up again and again: a 2021 review describes an $18,000 quote elsewhere for a comparable cedar fence, then paying Accurate Fence around $5,100 for it; a 2023 review says the company came in lowest of four competing quotes and still kept its scheduled install date. Reviewers from 2022 through 2025 describe crews that showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and built fences — 185 feet of cedar rail fencing, a reinforced vinyl double-gate, a matched wood-picket-and-split-rail combo — that held up. There's a pattern worth knowing about on the other side of that same timeline. A cluster of one-star reviews spread from mid-2023 through late 2025 describes the same shape of problem: the install goes fine, then something needs a fix — a warped gate board, a fence panel started in the wrong spot, a granite slab cracked while anchoring a railing — and the calls and texts stop getting answered. One customer says months passed after Chris promised to replace a cracked granite slab; another says he lost employees mid-project and never called back to reschedule. A separate 2022 review, otherwise satisfied with the finished fence, flagged a crew member using marijuana on the job as unprofessional. Google shows the company at 4.3 stars from 56 total ratings, and most of what's written backs that up — reviewers name Chris directly, describe specific fence types and footage, and several mention hiring the company again for a second property. But the follow-through complaints aren't a one-off: they recur across several years and several different customers. Worth asking before booking: what the plan is if something needs adjusting after the crew leaves, and getting a firm install window in writing given a couple of reports of slipped schedules. For a straightforward vinyl, wood, or chain-link fence job on the Cape with competitive pricing on the table, Accurate Fence has a real track record behind it — just don't assume a callback if something needs a second visit.
It all started out good. He installed a railing at our front steps. He drilled through the granite slab to anchor the railing. The granite slab cracked from the drilling. He came and looked at it and had promised to replace the granite slab. But it has been months and many many phone calls to him and he doesn't respond. The railing post is now completely loose and dangerous.
Love this company! They’ve installed a vinyl fence on 2 properties -ours and my moms and a cedar fence on our property (different location). Each time they have been professional and punctual and their work is fantastic. The prices are very fair and the fence product is terrific. Would highly recommend!
Did not start the fence where they were asked to and shortened the length of the last panel. Pergola top strips were not anchored down and I had asked to be fixed they never corrected.
I’ve used the Accurate Fence team for multiple jobs. I wish there were 10 stars I could give them here. A fair price, excellent customer service, top quality work and materials and they do what they say they will do. Can’t ask for better!
I highly recommend Accurate Fence. Chris and his crew were here all day installing my fence. They worked very hard, were reliable and professional and reasonably priced.
